This next lesson is on a very powerful man that ruled over the United States of America. Being a president takes a lot of patience, knowledge, loyalty, honesty, truthfulness, compassion with both his people and with other countries, and he must hold the ability of common sense. I wanted to do a lesson on a famous face that we will all recognize and respect. So, having said that I think it is time that I show you “how to draw John F. Kennedy" JFK step by step. John Kennedy was a man, a father, a brother, an uncle, a son, and a president. He was the the thirty fifth president of the United States and he was also the youngest. Born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline Massachusetts, JFK graduated from Harvard University in 1940 and from there he joined the U.S. Navy. Now there is a very interesting story about the times he spent in the navy. There was an incident that occurred while he was in his PT boat (PT being short for “Patrol Torpedo”), his boat was hit by a Japanese destroyer and he sustained significant injuries. Even though John Kennedy was injured badly, he still went after the survivors and led them to safety. When he returned from the war he later became a Democratic Congressman and by the time 1953 came, John F. Kennedy was already in the Senate. On September 12, 1953 he married the very graceful and timid Jacqueline Bouvier or as we know her, Jackie O. In that same year he wrote “Profiles in Courage” which he won a Pulitzer Price for. John F. Kennedy gave the people a taste of what kind of president he was going to be when he made a very simple statement during his Inaugural Address “Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country”. John Kennedy's whole mission in life was dedicated to the revolution of human rights. In an attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro, he allowed a band of Cuban exiles invade Cuba, but that mission failed. That is when the Russians installed nuclear missiles in Cuba and the world was threatened of a nuclear war breaking out. At the last minute the Russians agreed to dismantle the missals and back down. After that incident Kennedy had slowed down the spreading of nuclear weapons and slowed down the arms race. So as you can see his dream of equal rights and unity sort of came alive. The administration that was under John F. Kennedy eventually saw the beginning stages for equal rights and for peace around the world. This tutorial will show you “how to draw JFK", step by step. Have fun and who knows, maybe you can use this lesson for one of your school projects one day.
