Well this first tutorial of the day, and it has been long awaited by some of you DragoArt members out there that requested this lesson. I will be showing you “how to draw Wolverine from X-Men Origins step by step”. Now I know I have a tutorial on Wolverine already and that is good, but the Wolverine that is up on the site now, is what you would see in the comic books and in the animated series of the X-Men. His traditional yellow and blue colors were created by the Marvel Comics team. This Wolverine is from the feature movie from all four films of X-Men. Logan is played by the very handsome Hugh Jackman and he fits and plays Wolverine to the T. Learning “how to draw Hugh Jackman as Wolverine” was very difficult. I didn’t want to use a reference picture from the movie poster because there was no action to his pose. Instead, I went to the X-Men Origins website and used the image there as a reference tool. I think it came out pretty good considering how long it took me. I sketched out the image on paper first because trying to attempt drawing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on a tablet, would have been nearly impossible. Since I already wrote a good description on the past of Wolverine or Logan, I think I will just talk about the sketch instead. Some of the characters that are in the X-Men Origins movie are pretty cool and epic. Sabretooth from X-Men is another character that I will be drawing because he looks absolutely cool as well. There is also the Blob, and some other cool characters from X-Men. The new movie focuses on Wolverine and how he came to be the mutant he is today. I haven’t seen it yet but the previews look so epic. I like to wait until movies that “X-Men” get released on DVD and Blu-Ray because I can watch them in my parlor. Anyways, this tutorial will show you “how to draw Wolverine from X-Men Origins step by step”. I laid out the steps and instructions to the best of my ability. I hope you guys likey what you see, I shall return again with five more lessons on the way.

STEP 1.

Okay are you ready for drawing goodness? Start with a circle for Wolverines head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw the body's guidelines of position the way you see it drawn out for you here. Remember, his right hand is coming at you and the left is set back.

STEP 2.

In this next step you will start learning "how to draw Wolverine's head" and then start sketching out the eyes as well as fill them in. Add a hint of his nose and then start sketching out the left side of his body which is the shoulder, torso, and thigh. Draw the first outline for his right leg and then start drawing out Wolverines thumbs on both hands.

STEP 3.

Now as you can see you will start sketching the shape and style of Wolverines hair that comes in two pointed tips. You will then sketch the definition and shape for his nose and add some shading as well. Detail and define his eyes by adding the frowned eyebrow lines. Sketch the beginning lines for his mustache as well.

STEP 4.

You will define and shape out the face of Wolverine, Logan or Huh Jackman as you see here. You will accomplish this by shading in the areas as shown here. While doing this you will at the same time draw out the shape of his mouth, lips and chin. Draw out his left hand and then start sketching out the right arm and shirt.

STEP 5.

Step four focuses on "How to Draw Wolverine's Body" Now if you remember, Wolverine's mutant ability is accelerated healing which is why the experiment was preformed on him in the first place. What you will do here is draw out the beginning lines for his three retractable claws that reside within each forearm. His whole skeletal being is reinforced with the indestructible metal adamantium. Once you add the claw lines, you will sketch out more of his t-shirt and then the dog tags that he is wearing around his neck. Draw out more of his muscular arms and then draw out the rest of the shapes for his legs and the rest of his right hand fist.

STEP 6.

You can start shading in his hair and then thicken the shapes of his claws and shade in the arms, exposed chest, and lower leg. You will add shading to define and detail his body as you can see here. Just keep following the step that is colored in red and you will be fine.

STEP 7.

This is your last drawing step and what you will do now is add the rest of the shading to his clothes and around his face. You should actually start erasing the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one before shading in Wolverine.
