How to draw Heidi Klum

1

Draw the shape of the head along with the guidelines for the eyes, nose and mouth. Also, don't forget to make the guide lines for her neck and shirt.

2

Add some details on the face following the guide lines.

3

Draw her hair and shirt outline, her ears and her neck.

4

Your sketch should look like this, even if you think it's kind of weird, after you add more details it gets much better and realistic.

5

We are going to start with her eyes, you'll begin to shape and shade them and then fill in the pupils, leaving some catchlights.

6

Next step:darkening the eye and adding more shadow. Do the same thing for the other eye.

7

Start shading with a dark pencil diagonally around the eyes, until you get the result that you want. In the reference picture she has very dark make-up.

8

Now draw the eyebrows using a 2B pencil, giving them a hairy appearence.

9

Now add some shading details to her nose. Use a darker pencil (even a 4B is good) along the nostrils.

10

Continue with adding shades to the nose to create the illusion of a light source. Be careful not to add more lines. The more value that you add, the more your nose will look realistic.Make a few shadows on her upper lip and then use a 8B pencil to ad

11

Do the same thing for the lower lip, smudge and add some highlights.

12

Now add a dark shadow under her lower lip.

13

Shade with a light pencil(2B) her cheek lines and her chin, also don't forget to do the same thing for the nose lines. And add more shadow on her lips.

14

Add some more shadow and blend it very well. Draw some light shadows under her chin and on her neck. Use a tissue to smudge.

15

Darken her neck, adding some subtle highlights and her shirt/blouse by using a blend stamp to smudge.

16

Now darken her shirt/blouse more and after this, you should start to add some details to her ears. Use the original picture for reference and if you need to highlight more, you can use white acrylics or a kneaded eraser.

17

We're moving on the hair now. Begin with some medium dark strokes indicating the way the hair grows.

18

Give the hair details by using a sharp pencil(2B is good). Connect the dark areas with a lot of strokes, making a smooth transition between them. Darken the strokes of hair even more and add some highlights. After this, you can start to draw the back

19

Finish the background by using a very dark pencil or charcoal.

Description: Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach, a small city near Cologne, ×Germany, in 1973. Her career as a top fashion model and swimsuit star began almost by accident when, on a lark, she submitted photos to a model competition hosted by Petra, a young woman's magazine. Klum won the competition, and signed with Metropolitan, the German modeling agency. After modeling in Europe for a few years to great success, she went to the United States to pursue modeling there, and met with more success, culminating in her relationship with Victoria's Secret. This brought her to the pinnacle of modeling and, in 1998, the coveted cover of Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit Issue, cementing her status as one of the world's top models. Along with that came lucrative marketing opportunities, including her own signature lines of sandals, jewelry, and perfume.
