How to Draw Hillary Clinton

Step 1.

Begin with the basic guidelines for the face.

Step 2.

Now draw the guidelines for the eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 3.

Draw the guidelines for her hair, ear and hand.

Step 4.

Your sketch should look like this and then you can begin the actual work.

Step 5.

We are going to start with the eyes. Fill in the pupils, leaving some catchlights.

Step 6.

Now draw the lines around the iris, add some more details on it and then begin to shade in her eyebrows. Also, don't forget to start drawing the eyelashes from the root(eyelid).

Step 7.

Darken the lashlines, upper lid fold, the pupils and the upper portion of the iris of both eyes. The eyeballs should be shaded very lightly. You also have to create shadows underneath the upper eyelash. Give a hairy appearence to the eyebrows, fill them in and work just above the bottom hairs, add more that angle up and out, but watch out for making strokes that are darker than the others. For this drawing you need to add a lot of shadows, add some shading detailes to her nose and cheek.

Step 8.

Smudge the shadows on her nose and cheek. Continue with adding shades to the nose to create the illusion of a light source and shade in her cheek lines, her forehead, chin and nostrils with a 4b.You can use a kneaded eraser for highlights if you are not satisfied with the result and you want it to be a little bit brighter.

Step 9.

Make a few shadows on her upper lip and her lower lip, then use a 4B pencil to draw the teeth better, smudge and add some highlights and a dark shadow under her lower lip.

Step 10.

Now draw the shadows for the hand and use some graphite powder for her blouse.

Step 11.

Draw the ear and the earring with a 5b pencil and then darken the blouse and use a blend stamp to smudge the blouse and the lines of her hand.

Step 12.

Give the hair details by using a sharp pencil(2B is good. Start from the top and go down.

Step 13.

Connect the dark areas with a lot of strokes, making a smooth transition between them. Darken the strokes of hair even more.

Step 14.

In the end, you can use a dark pencil 10B or charcoal for the background or you can leave it just how it is. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial.
