How to Draw Knotgrass or Flora from Maleficent

1

Make the circle for the head guide, then sketch in the facial guidelines. When that is done you can draw the shoulders and torso line.

2

Sketch out the shape of Knotgrass' face like so, it should be puffy or chubby looking.

3

Next, draw in the crown of leaves around the top of her head which is also for the cap she wears.

4

Now you can draw the cap which looks like a Hersey's Kiss.

5

You will now draw in her ears, then sketch in some of the hair as well.

6

We can work on the face next. Start with the thin eyebrows, then the shapes of Knotgrass' eyes. You will also draw in the nose, her big smile, then add the frown lines around the smile.

7

Detail her cap which looks like a large leaf.

8

You will now draw the shape of her neck, then begin the ruffle lining for Knotgrass' dress collar.

9

Keeping up with the same style, draw the layered ruffles sleeves for the dress. As you can see the sleeves are flat and sort of big.

10

For the last drawing step you will draw Knotgrass' arms which are folded on each other, then draw in the rest of the dress which is also her upper body shape. Erase the mistakes and you are done.

11

Now that you are done you can color in Knotgrass or Flora and be on your way.

Description: This is the other Flower Pixie from Maleficent that I was telling you about. This is how to draw Knotgrass, step by step. In the original Disney animated film, Knotgrass is Flora. Flora was the short, chubby pixie that wore all blue. In the new Maleficent film she wears a brownish colored dress with a leafy style cap. Drawing Knotgrass or Flora will be easy, but she will not look like Flora from Disney's animated version. I will be back soon so stay tuned in for more tuts.
