Step 1.
Lets start this step by building a mannequin frame to make it a whole lot easier to draw Link. Start by drawing a circle for the head, then a straight line going across for the shoulders, two small circles on both sides for the shoulders, and elbows, one long straight line that ends at the hands. Draw a round circle for the torso with a straight line coming down from it, a small line going across for the hips, and two more straight lines going down for the legs with the feet at the end.
Step 2.
Now in this step you will be outlining the frame of link creating the actual body. All you have to do is follow the diagram above to show you how thick he should be and where to start. The best place to start is at the shoulders. You can sketch in the hair and his elf like ear before moving to step 3.
Step 3.
This step is where you will be drawing more in detail. Start by sketching more definition in the hair and draw his eyes. Move down and sketch the shirt out, it has an overlap on the sleeves at the bottom before it turns into the gloves. His hands are clinched, so you don't have to worry about sketching out fingers. Move to the bottom of the shirt it comes out like an apron. His leggings are next walong with his boots.
Step 4.
Sketch more detail in his hair and draw out his hat and eye brows. Move a little ways down and sketch out his collar and under shirt which is very simple. After doing that draw the belt, the flap at the end of the belt hangs a bit and looks worn. Sketch out the boot on the right leg with a bit more detail then you did on the left boot.
Step 5.
Here in this step is where you will draw the swords holster and define the armor a bit more on his forearm. The strap is easy it looks like a belt going across his chest, and the arm armor is just a little detailing being added. After your done here move to step 6.
Step 6.
Not much to do here except draw out his sword and detail the handle and the leggings he is wearing. The sword has that look of cloth or leather being wrapped around the handle. Sketch in some wrinkles on the bottom half of his pants and detail the arm band more.
Step 7.
Here is what your drawing should look like after you are done with erasing the mannequin guidelines and sketch marks. All you have to do is color him in with his green clothes and blonde hair and your done.Comments: Post Comment
