How to Draw a Howling Wolf Easy

1

This is a quick reference on how the guidelines create the wolf's head motion or pose.

2

Start with a circle for the head guide, then add one facial guideline.

3

Draw the square shaped snout and then proceed to step four.

4

Using the guides, begin sketching out the actual form of the snout and forehead.

5

Up next make the snout which will be part of the upper jaw. Slightly add a curve to the lip line.

6

Now you can draw in the bottom jaw, then sketch in the fluffy hair that is part of the wolf's jawline or cheek area.

7

You will now draw the ear and make sure that there is also hair added.

8

Draw in another ear like so, then proceed to step nine.

9

Here you will add a detailing line that runs down the snout from the closed colored in eye. Draw the nose, bottom lip and tongue inside the mouth, then add the whisker holes and inner ear detailing.

10

For the last drawing step you will need to sketch out the thick fluffy neck like so, then just erase your mistakes and guides.

11

That's it, you are all done. Now you can color in your howling wolf then color it in.

Description: I don't know if I did a tut like this before, but today I will attempt to teach folks "how to draw an easy howling wolf" in a step by step fashion. When you think of wolves a majority of the time you picture them on a cliff with their heads arched back as they howl at the moon. I know there are many people who would love to draw howling wolves but don't know where to start or finish. Hopefully this lesson will teach you the ins and outs to creating a wolf you can be proud of. That's all I have for you as far as this tut goes, I will be back in a few with more drawing fun.
