How to Draw Starfire
How about another tutorial on a character from the DC Comics magazines to add to your drawing collection? The idea came from a member who requested a tutorial on one of their favorite characters from the animated series that airs on Cartoon Network. So because I love filling request, I will show everyone here tonight how to draw Starfire from Teen Titans step by step. Starfire is a character that is very popular in the comic book series. In the animated television series, she is a girl that has long red hair and she is also very, very girly. Starfire is not from planet earth and because of that she is always looking for new ways to fit into her surroundings and be like everyone else. Even though she is trying to fit in, she knows that she has a long way to go to learn everything there is to know about earth, their people, and the way they live and survive. I bet by the look of Starfire you wouldn’t think that she has a strong ability huh? Well the fact is, she can fly higher than you think and she also has green fire starbolts that shoots from her small hands. Not only does she have super powers, Starfire is almost as strong as Superman too. In the DC Comic series, she comes from a planet called Tamaran and her real name is Koriand'r. She is Tamaran's Princess and she has two other siblings in the family besides herself. Her sister Komand’r was ruled as being not worthy enough to be queen because she lacked the ability to fly. Because of that, Koriand’r or Starfire was the one worthy to become queen. The DC Comics version of Starfire looks much older, sexier, and very womanly. I was going to do the tutorial on Starfire with her looking like she does in the magazines, but I thought that it would be better to just finish off the cartoon version of the Teen Titans characters. Now that I have drawn out Starfire, all I have left to do is teach you guys how to draw Cyborg. I already have Robin, Raven, and Beast Boy so I guess that is what I will do for a lesson tomorrow. I mean why not? Cyborg is a cool looking character anyway. Well I have to go so I can submit my last tutorial for the day. I will be back so I hope you artists out there will stay with me until my night is over with and done.

STEP 1.
Okay since Starfire is in an action pose, you will be drawing out her body guidelines in a curved or arched form. What you will need to draw first is the circle shape for her head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw out the limb lines and then her torso, hand and feet shapes.
STEP 2.
You will now start drawing out the shape of her arms and then the beginning shape of her face. Next draw out her eye lines and then add a few lashes. Once that is done you can go ahead and draw out the beginning outline of Starfire's hair style with the strand hanging apart from the rest of her hair. Add a hint of a nose and move to the next step.
STEP 3.
Well you have reached step three and as you can see you are doing great. Finish drawing out Starfire's eyes and then draw out her mouth. Finish drawing out her arms and hands and then detail her uniform sleeves and shoulders. Draw out the bangs of her hair style and then color in her pupils.
STEP 4.
This is a relatively easy tutorial, but I placed it under intermediate for those of you that are novice artists. You will draw out Starfire's hair some more and then start sketching out the rest of her body as well as detailing her super hero uniform or suit. Once that is done you can move onto the next step.
STEP 5.
You can finish off drawing out her hair style and make sure that it is long enough. Next draw the folds for the top of her boots and then add more detailing to her belt.
STEP 6.
You will now draw out her legs and then her feet. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to prepare your drawing for color. I hope you had some good fun so far.
STEP 7.
This is what your sketch should look like when you are done. Color in your Teen Titans character and you have fully finished learning how to draw Starfire from teen Titans step by step.Comments: Post Comment
