You will start your first step by drawing out the guidelines to form the bikers body lines of position. First draw the circle for the head and or helmet. Then draw the torso guidelines that fall into the hip lines and then the legs, arms and fingers.

2

Now that your guidelines are drawn in you can start this step by drawing out the shape of the bikers helmet. After the shape of the helmet is drawn out you can then add the flame detail scattered on the BMX helmet as shown. Once that is done draw out

You have now reached step three and the first thing that you will do is sketch out the hand, fingers and finger nails the way seen here. Next sketch out the spiked bracelet and then the rest of his shirt. Sketch in some soft detailing on the arms and

Step four involves some cross hatch shading as you see here near the outer edges of his shirt and on his back. Next draw out the belt and add the notch holes. Sketch out the pants and detail the inner thigh as well as well adding some line details on

First sketch out the handle bars of the BMX bike and then the shape of the seat. Next draw out the back tire and bike frame starting under the BMX bike seat. Shape in the handle bars as well as the spikes on his bracelet, under his shirt sleeve, and

Finish drawing out the shorts and then sketch in the shading under the shorts. Sketch and detail the bike seat and then draw out the back tire as well as add some minor detailing for the threads. Continue to detail the bottom of the sneakers and then

For your last drawing step you will finish sketching out the BMX bike and then add your final shading. make sure you also draw out the bike pedal and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: How many of you out there always wanted to learn how to draw a BMX bike step by step? Well since my brother just got a BMX for his birthday, I figured I would make a tutorial on a BMX bike being ridden by a fourteen year year old kid that sort of resembles the cartoony character from the band “Gorillaz”. The BMX bike has been around for many, many years. So long in fact, my father used to own one when he was younger. There is an interesting story behind how this brand of bike phenomenon came to our clutches. I asked and probed some of my family members that grew up during the days BMX came out. I wanted to understand how one sport came to change the way bicycles were made forever. This is what I found out. Back in the seventies, neighbourhood kids used to race their bikes down the side streets with their friends to race each other. After a while these races became more advanced and therefore the races were being done on dirt tracks instead. The bicycle used then was the Schwinn Stingray, and other regular off road bikes that could be purchased at any retailer that sold children's bikes. Now do you guys know what BMX means or stands for? Well to tell you the truth for a long while I thought is was the brand name of a bicycle that was manufactured, but I was wrong. BMX is a cycling sport and it stands for “Bicycle Motocross”. The “B” is for bicycle, the “M” stands for moto, and then the “X” stands for cross. It is a sport that has been going on for years now and one of the most popular is “Freestyle BMX”. During summer months, the annual Summer X Games Extreme Sports competition takes place in both the east and west coast areas as well as in Europe. This tutorial will show you how to draw a BMX bike step by step. If you want to, you can also include a BMX track when learning how to draw the BMX bike as well. Anyways I have to go for now but I will be back. Have fun with this awesome lesson and keep your eyes open for more drawing fun on the way.
