How to Draw Tribal Lugia

Begin with making the head and body guide then connect them with a neck line.

Next, using a thick stroke draw the front lining to form Lugia's tribal face and head shape. There should be two thicker points at the top of the head.

Here we will draw a wing like shape for cover over the actual eye. This is a marking on Lugia's face as well. Notice there is also a chin or bottom jaw line.

Now you can start the tribal drawing process starting with the neck shape. Notice the angled swirl that forms the neck.

Start the drawing process for his right wing. The lining should be straight, flat and thick. Make a wide finger like shape for the arm tip of the wing.

Draw in the other wing arch on the left side like so, then add a swirl inside the feather tip.

Here is where you will make the squared off feather finger sections for each wing. The ends of the tips should be colored in black, and there should also be small swirls.

Make some colored markings on the wings, then draw in Lugia's chest as well as the two peaks on the chest.

Now you can draw in the thighs which also have a mild tribal pattern going on.

Draw in Lugia's tribal style feet and talons like so. This is not a complicated step.

Finish this tribal drawing by adding the long curled in tail that cups the body. Add the tribal pattern on the tail, then draw in some points at the end of the tail. Erase whatever mistakes you might of made as well.

Description: I know many of you have been waiting for this concept lesson on "how to draw tribal Lugia", step by step. I can see why Lugia would make an awesome tribal design just look at those wings, face and body. I didn't anticipate this drawing coming out so catchy at all. In fact I thought it was going to come out looking pretty boring. I guess it all depended on the pose to draw Lugia in tribal form. I can say that this is one of the better tribal designs I came up with even if it is just Pokemon character. Anyways let me shut up so you guys can get busy with drawing tribal Lugia. Adios amigos.
