How to Draw Chartoise

Step 1.

Make two circles, one for the head and another for the body. The one for the body should be quite large.

Step 2.

You will draw in the top portion of Cartoise's snout like so, and be sure to add the crinkles on the snout as well.

Step 3.

Next up, draw the shape of the head and bottom jaw. This should also include the small narrow horn like shapes and the indent on top of Chartoise's head.

Step 4.

Begin drawing the face starting with the right eye. You will then define the lower jaw by adding the lip line, and tongue inside the mouth. Also add four pointed teeth and a marking line on the jaw.

Step 5.

Start drawing the shape of the back part for Chartoise's neck, shoulder, and upper arm. As you can see the upper arm is formed in sections.

Step 6.

Draw in the hand, followed by the three stubby claws.

Step 7.

Here you will just draw out the chunky shape of Chartoise's leg followed by the three toes.

Step 8.

Draw Chartoise's belly which should be nice and round. Add the indent lines across the belly, then proceed to step nine.

Step 9.

Draw in the left arm and hand, then draw the left thigh or leg. Add the nails on the toes, as well as on the fingers.

Step 10.

Draw in the barrel of the gun that is attached to Chartoise's back. Add a hole for detailing, then proceed to step eleven.

Step 11.

Begin drawing in the shell on the back, as you can see it is very rocky looking and uneven.

Step 12.

Finish drawing the shell, then draw the tail which should be thick and defined.

Step 13.

Add the flame at the tip of the tail as the fiery tuft.

Step 14.

This is what the line art looks like when you are finished. You can go ahead and color in the animal and you're done.

So I'm not really sure what to say about this Pokemon species because it is obviously a hybrid fusion of Charizard and Blastoise. To me this species looks almost like Bowser, and I think most of you know why. Anyways, this lesson was done because someone requested it. I had fun creating a fused version of a Pokemon species based upon some really cool ones. I will label this lesson intermediate because there is a lot to draw when drawing Chartoise. I shall return with more folks so stay tuned in.
