how to draw a lonely soul

How to Draw a Lonely Soul

Step 1.

Let us begin by making the outlining for a few figures. The one in the center is for the lonely soul, and the two on each side are for the souls that are trying to take him back to the other side.

Step 2.

Finish drawing the wispy bodies for each soul on the sides, and you will notice that they are both very different in shape, size and style.

Step 3.

Next, draw in two more smaller souls, hoovering above the lonely soul.

Step 4.

Now we will concentrate on the lonely soul. Draw in the skinny neck, then sketch out the small body which is still in skeletal form.

Step 5.

Next up, draw in the the uneven shaped eyes, then draw the left skeletal sectioned arm. When that is done add some ribs and some of the other arm.

Step 6.

Draw the bony legs and skeletal feet, then proceed to step seven.

Step 7.

Of course the other wispy souls need faces, so that is what you will do here. Draw in any style face you would like, or you can draw the type you see here.

Step 8.

Now draw in another face for the smaller soul to the left.

Step 9.

And again, draw the souls face for the smaller soul to the right.

Step 10.

You will finish the souls faces by drawing the eyes, mouth and chest.

Step 11.

Lastly, sketch in all of the detailing to complete all the souls that surround the lonely soul. When you are done you can erase the mistakes.

Step 12.

That's it, you are done. Now you can add some color to bring these dead people to life.

This is a lesson that is totally one hundred percent concept art. It was drawn based on a thought and that thought kept running wild and this is what I came up with. Up next here is a tut on "how to draw a lonely soul", step by step. I don't think I ever made a lesson on drawing a soul so this is pretty unique. The soul that you see in the center of the picture is not like the others. He feels alone, lost, confused, and still wants to be part of the living world. Surrounding him are other souls that are trying to draw lonely soul back with them, but he is just not ready. The red mark on the chest represents how this soul feels alive still and has a sense of still having a beating heart. There is love but without someone to share his love with its making this lonely soul feel more and more helpless. The story could go on and on, but I just want you folks to have fun with drawing a lonely soul. I know there are many people out there that can relate to this image, so I'm sure most of you will enjoy this tutorial. Don't forget to give me some feedback on how you liked or disliked this lesson.
