How to Draw a Red Dragon
I thought it was time for another dragon tutorial and because of that I drew my heart out with this next lesson I am about to submit. My first lesson of the day will be on "how to draw a red dragon step by step". If you look in the dragon category you will see that there is already a tutorial on a red dragon and that lesson is old and sort of immature. This new dragon is bold, powerful, epic, and intriguing. I had a lot of fun drawing out this new version of a red dragon. So much fun in fact, I started sketching the dragon early this morning and didn’t get done until later in the afternoon around three. The hardest part about drawing this red dragon was all the detailing and shading. I also had to work on drawing dragon bodies better than I did on the past because a lot of the dragon I used to draw ha sunken in stomachs. To me drawing dragon talons, dragon legs and dragon head and mouths are some of the easiest things for me to do. My biggest problem in the past was the mid part of the dragon body. So after hard work and determination, I think I have drawn one of the best looking dragons in a long time. I put this red dragon in the advanced section because it will not be easy to draw. You will have to follow the steps verbatim if you want your red dragon come out looking like or similar to the one you will be learning from. Anyways, let me get back to submitting more lessons and I will let you get to tackle this tutorial on "how to draw a red dragon step by step". Stay tuned for more drawing fun people.

STEP 1.
Okay are you ready to get started or what? You will first draw a small circle for the head of the dragon and then add the shoe like shape for the wide open mouth of the beast. Next draw the long slightly curved neck line and then connect it to the egg shape for the torso. Lastly add the leg, tail and wing guidelines the way you see them here.
STEP 2.
Now in this next step you will first draw out the razor sharp teeth inside of the dragon’s mouth. Next, draw out the thickness of the neck and then start sketching out the shape of the legs which includes the thighs. Next draw four lines for the wing and then the horn line on the dragons head.
STEP 3.
As you can see your red dragon is coming along nicely. What you will first start to sketch out is the lining and detail to the front of the dragons face starting with the eyes. Draw a horn on the tip of the nose and then add a slithering tongue. Add more detail and thickness to the dragon wings as well as the arm of the wing. Draw some more of the front legs and feet which includes talons, and repeat the same thing to the hind legs as well as thickening the tail.
STEP 4.
Sketch out the tissue for the wing and make sure you sketch out the skin tissue to look loose because the dragon wings are not fully extended. Draw out the rest of the tail and then finish drawing the legs. The last thing you will do here is sketch out the frills on the side of the dragons head as well as finish the horn. Sketch out details and definition on the face as well as on the body which includes the muscle shape under the winged arm.
STEP 5.
Well you are almost done with this tutorial on how to draw a red dragon and if you followed the steps accurately, you should be doing great. Next, sketch out the rest for the shape for the wing as well as detailing the wing tissue. Detail and define the body of the dragon and then add toe nail lines.
STEP 6.
This is your last drawing step and what you will do now is draw out the dragon scales on the neck, chest, and stomach and under the tail that is visible. Detail and define the wings some more and then sketch in some final detailing on the face. You will now start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 7.
Once you are done with your dragon sketch it should come out looking like the one you see here. All you have to do now is color him in a shade that you like. This will end this tutorial on "how to draw a red dragon" step by step.Comments: Post Comment

...even tho im done with Brandon...she shouldnt have done that...no i shouldnt have said what i said....but i really liked him....it was hard to get over him....im lucky enough to have Shawn....hes perfect....
