How to Draw a Bloodshot Eye

Begin by sketching out the outline for the eye that you will be drawing. This is a simple shape, best described as looking like a lemon.

Next, draw the actual eyeball along with the scattered lashes. The lashes should be curled upward and can be as long, and as full as you want.

You will now draw the crease or crevice for the lid. This will create a sense of aliveness. Add a bit of crinkle at the point of the eye.

Color in a pupil, then sketch in the wrinkles under the eye along with more lashes on the bottom lid. You will also need to add the water line and pulp in the corner of the eye.

Lastly, sketch out the thick eyebrow like so, and be sure that you make a rough looking brow for added texture. Erase whatever mistakes you made along the way.

Here is the finished drawing of the bloodshot eye. All you need to do now is add some of the special effects to make the eye real creepy, and dead looking.

Description: I don't know how many of you guys know, but I happen to be a very big Walking Dead fan and lately I have been feeling the urge to make some pretty cool zombie related lessons in a different manner then just your typical zombie. Instead, I wanted to show you "how to draw a bloodshot eye", step by step. I took the idea for the eye by combining zombie eyes from The Walking Dead, and the eyes seen in the movie '28 Days Later'. I'm also a huge fan of 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. To me those are what I call suspenseful, unpredictable films that where put together brilliantly. But hey, you don't have to take my word for it, the proof is in the pudding. Now the end results for this eye is going to look like a regular drawing of an eye. It's actually up to you guys to add all the special effects like shading, coloring and texturing to make this eye a bloodshot eye. I think you will have fun because it was exciting for me to make.
