I'm pretty sure I made either one or two lessons on a tribal butterfly, but if I didn't here is one now and if I did, you can just consider this an updated version. Anyways, here is "how to draw a tribal butterfly", step by step. This should be much easier to tackle then some of the other tribal animals or insects. I enjoyed this tut and I think you will too. So off you go with making a tribal butterfly folks. I will meet you back on the flip side.

How to Draw a Tribal Butterfly

STEP 1.

Start off by making the line of motion for the butterfly wings. Add the body guideline as well.

STEP 2.

In this step draw the entire outline for the butterfly's wing in a tribal art style. You will then draw and color in the head too.

STEP 3.

Add the pattern for the wing until you have a design you like, or you can choose to use the design I have for you here.

STEP 4.

Draw in the last of the markings on the lower lobe of the butterfly wing like so, then you are ready for step five.

STEP 5.

Draw out the other right wing the same way you did the first wing. When that is done you can proceed to step six.

STEP 6.

I told you it wouldn't be hard to draw this tribal butterfly. Draw the antenna and then add the spots to the wing.

STEP 7.

Finish things up by sketching or drawing out the last section of wing markings on the lower half of the butterfly's wing. Erase whatever mistakes you made along the way.

And here is what your drawing should come out looking like when you are all done. Go ahead and color it in, or leave it as a black & white drawing.
