Ok, this is pretty much the first building block towards creating your Medusa. I'd like to start my drawings off with the core basics. This includes drawing the frame of the body. The main focal point for this type of body pose would have to be the s

You've made it to step two. In this step, we bluntly draw out the details. The face is the best way to start your drawing off. Usually if you don't start with the head, you'll end up with disproportional limbs or perspective. However, for pro artists

This step is pretty straightforward. As you can see, you'll be drawing the rest of Medusa's snake hair and the rest of the facial features to the right. Make sure you observe the shape of the snakes heads from the different views I drew them. Stray a

Ok, this step would probably be more challenging then the rest. This is the part where you have to proportionally draw out the body. The hands can be a hassle for some people, so take that experience at a slow level. Sketch in the details of her rear

Alright, you've accelerated to step five. Your almost near done. The step after this would probably take you a while to complete since there's a lot of them. Anyways, this is another easy step. Your going to sketch out the tail part of her body. The

This step will need your patience in order to complete the final image correctly. I had to draw all these scales within a time span of five hours. Pay very close attention to the pattern of your scales so they don't result into uneven and sloppy line

Here it is, the final line art! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did. I put a lot of time and effort into this picture. Make sure you tell your mythological obsessed friends about this tutorial. Thanks so much for viewing and don't forge

Description: Hi everyone, I’m new to this site and I have a few tutorials I would like to put up. My first one which is this one is based on young woman who was stunningly beautiful with gorgeous long locks of hair from Greek mythology. She was punished by her father for catching her in a temple worshiping Athena. He ripped her out of the temple by brute force against her will. Athena was rip roaring mad that her temple had been violated, so she cursed Medusa by turning her long beautiful hair into a mass of serpents. She was also given the power to turn all those who gazed upon her to stone. She was slain down by Perseus son of Zeus, who cut of her head to rescue his mother from King Polydectes. Of course he was helped by the very person who punished Medusa, Athena and Hermes. They gave him magic weapons to aid him in his journey. There is a lot more to the story that I would never be able to fit in this tutorial, but if you are intrigued by what you read so far, pick up a book on her it really is an interesting story. Medusa was a character in the movie Clash of the Titians. I have to say after reading about her and then watching the movie, it was on point. The whole story of Medusa and how she was once beautiful, and then cursed by the hand of a God for something she had no control over was a tragedy indeed. In this tutorial you will learn how to draw Medusa with easy to learn instructions and a few simple steps. I based my image of Medusa partially on the character in the movie, and half on the character on a computer game I play. I hope you like my art work I sketched this drawing for 2 hours.
