How to Draw Tribal Wolf Art
This is my last tutorial for the day and I will show you how to draw tribal wolf art step by step. This tribal art design is basically the same as any. The only difference with this sketch is that it involves the whole body of the wolf instead of just the head shot. A similar request was made by a member that was looking for a cool design for a tattoo and I was more than happy to try and fill his request for the stencil he would need to bring to the tattoo parlor. This wolf design is not the design I had in mind for the member of DragoArt, but if it turns out that he/she likes it, than by all means go ahead and print out the line art so that the tattoo artist can use it as a stencil. I had a lot of fun with this sketch. I did the whole drawing live from start to finish. I love the way the flames are incorporated with the body of the wolf. Of course the wolf looks a bit friendlier than they are in life. Wolves are very proud and trident animals which is why they have a strong spiritual connection with Native Americans. I want to draw some cool native American tribal art as well but I am stumbled on an idea for a design. Well I better get back to what I need to do to make the site more efficient so that all the members and visitors have a swift time surfing DragoArt.com. STEP 1.
Start by drawing three circle shapes. Once for the head, one for the mid-section of the body or chest, and one for the hind end. You will then draw out the facial guidelines and then add the limb lines for the legs, neck and tail. Add the beginning lines for the flames that surround the wolf as you see here.
STEP 2.
Now that the body guidelines are drawn out you can start working on the flame designs that are all around the wolf as you see here. Once the flames are drawn out a bit more you will start adding the lines for his eyes, nose and mouth. Add hind leg shapes as well as a front leg shape.
STEP 3.
You are already on step three and as you can see it is looking a bit more complex to complete. What you will start doing now is drawing some more flames everywhere and then draw out the flames on the wolfs cheeks. If you look in the back the tail is fused with the flames which looks really cool. Finish off the legs better and then move to the next step.
STEP 4.
This is your last drawing step and what you will do now is just finish the flame lines as you see them here and then draw out the flames on the wolves face as you see here. Carefully erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and then move to the last step of this tutorial.
STEP 5.
This is what your finsihed drawing should look like when you are done. If you like you can add some color to the wolf. That will end this tutorial on how to draw tribal wolf art step by step.Comments: Post Comment
