How to Draw a Cow
Hey there people. Today I am putting up a tutorial on a cow. Yup, that’s it a plan ol’ cow. After all, these animals give us the very milk we drink with our cookies and cake. And don’t forget were steak comes from, those juicy cuts of rib eye, mmm. I bet most of you don’t even know how many cows we have existing on earth right now.., 1.3 million wow that is a lot of mooing going on. A male is called a bull and the female of course is called a cow. Another word used for these animals is cattle. Now cattle, like us have one stomach, but unlike us they have four chambers. These chambers are a very important part of the cows digestive system, the names of the compartments are, rumen, omasum, abomasums, and reticulum. Now, everyone knows that cows get milked by hand right; wrong they use machines on them in most milk developing plants. The only place they really use their hands now a days is in other small countries or on small farms and such. When cattle get pregnant they carry their calves for nine months, just like humans. Cows are indeed partially blind all though they have some concept of color. You can find a cow just by driving through the country side on a warm summer’s afternoon with the windows down and the wind blowing on your face. I wanted to add the cow to the farm animal pile. My goal is to contribute at least one tutorial in the farm animal category every month. This tutorial is pretty basic it teaches you "how to draw a cow", step by step, but not just any cow an oreo colored one, you know what to do with the cookies. STEP 1.
In this step all you wanna do is draw two basic shapes, a huge oblong circle and an oval circle. The small one is for the face, and the big one is for the body.
STEP 2.
Now draw additional round circles, like four more, until your drawing looks like a deformed foot or paw depending how you look at it. These shapes are going to be the cows legs and the one on top will be the back bone.
STEP 3.
Start connecting the dots by sketching out the shapes of the cows hind legs. Just simple curved lines coming from the end of the body guide going down and then split in two. Move to the top right of the drawing and sketch out the cows face and top neck lining the circle with the shape of the back.
STEP 4.
Continue to work on sketching out the details on the knees then move to the rear of the cow and draw a simple upside down "L" coming from the middle of the back down to the back thigh of the leg. That circle next to the back thigh is the milk sack glands so just draw a few nipples on that before you go to the next step. And don't forget to shape the underbelly as shown above.
STEP 5.
Detail the back of the cow with some line art and then some more on the underbelly and hind legs.What you're doing is putting definition on the cows body. The lining on the back is the back bone. Draw the ears next which are very simple and then the actual snout of the cow. Draw a lower lip from under the nose for the mouth.
STEP 6.
Detail some more with the appearance of a few ribs, and detail the ears. On the back of the cow were the behind is sketch some hair ruffles for the tail. Draw two little circles for the eyes and define the neck a bit more with some detailing.
STEP 7.
In this step you are going to sketch out the cows patch patterns. They are not all the same so keep that in mind and typically they always have a patch going down the center of the face. After you finish with this step erase all the guidelines and dirty sketch marks to complete your drawing.
STEP 8.
Wala, your done now you have your very own cow to milk. So the next time your mom says "does it look like we own a cow" you can respond with a simple yes. Your sketch should look like this when you are threw.Comments: Post Comment

Ocean is 'океан' (like 'oka' in 'okay'+ 'un'.gif "smile")
. America is 'Америка' and reads just the same. Japan will be 'Япония' (ya+pony+ya) and China - 'Китай' ('kit' in 'kitten' + 'eye'.
The names of flowers are mostly the same: orchid is 'орхидея' ('orchideya', lily - 'лилия'(lily+ya) and tulip will be 'тюльпан'(tulip 
ounced with very soft u and i + 'un', it's more different and maybe hard to spell. ^^
By the way, I've never asked your hometown... Mine is Novosibirsk, it's the capital of Siberia. Also, may I ask what do you learn about Russia at school?
