Steps: 5Updated: March 19, 2009P.O.V: FrontFavourited: 0 timesI just submitted a lesson on how to draw a mad face right? Well how about a tutorial on how to draw a mad scientist! I thought that this would also be a very cool drawing to submit because it is something that everyone is familiar with. I think I may be the first person to have a tutorial on a mad scientist because when I was searching the net to see if there was any drawing lessons at all on this type of cartoon looking character or any character for that matter, I didn’t find one at all. Of course when I came up with the idea, I didn’t want to give my fellow artist something that was impossible to draw so what I did was reference some pictures on mad scientists and used different parts from different images to come up with the drawing you see before you now. This is a very easy drawing to learn from and once you are done learning how to draw a mad scientist, you will be able to draw any other mad looking character that you can think of. I really do hope that you guys have fun with this tutorial as well as learn something new from my teachings. Like always, the steps are laid out so that anyone is able to tackle this mad looking, crazy hair wearing guy. I shall return yet again with more drawing fun so stay tuned because I have more on the way.

STEP 1.
Start this first step by drawing out some basic guidelines and shapes to form a frame for your mad scientist. You will first draw a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. Next add the left line part of the jaw an then the neck, arm, and body lines.
STEP 2.
You will now start drawing in the facial shapes starting with the eye sockets. Then move down a bit and draw out his honker for a nose and then the lining for his wide open crazy looking mouth. You will then draw out the arms to complete the shape and then the hands and fingers. You will then draw the science tubes in his hands as well.
STEP 3.
You are already almost done with this lesson. All you have to do here is draw out his mental looking hair style that most mad scientist have, and then the rest of the right arm shape as well as giving him a collar and jacket opening with an added button at the top.
STEP 4.
This is your last drawing step and you are going to have to get buck wild now! What you will need to do is draw out the rest of his hair and then his eyebrows, eyeballs, ears, mustache, and then his teeth. Once that is done detail the inside of his ear and then add the drool dripping down his mouth. You will then add the ring around the science tube and then teh crease and wrinkle lines in his scientist coat. Make sure you add two or three buttons on his coat as well.
STEP 5.
Once you are done you should have a drawing that comes out looking like the one you see here. All you have to do now is get graphically creative and color him in. Once you are done with that you have learned how to draw a mad scientist step by step.Post a comment
