How to Draw Leela

This next character that I am about to show you how to draw is from an animated television show called Futurama. I already submitted lessons on how to draw Fry and how to draw Bender step by step from the show, and I thought that it would be fun to do another character from this very funny TV series that is seen on Adult Swim. Not only did I think it would be fun, a member from DragoArt made a request for a tutorial on "how to draw Leela" from Futurama, step by step. I have watched this show many times and every time I view the series it seems to get funnier and funnier with every sitting. Turanga Leela or as we know and call her Leela, is one of the main characters of the show and she is a captain as well. In the beginning of the series it was believed that Leela was a cyclopean alien but as more and more episodes where written and aired, it was confirmed that she is nothing more than a sewer mutant. Leela’s character in Futurama is probably the most recognizable because she has one over sized eye, a big nose with purple hair that is almost always kept in a ponytail. Her love interest of the series is no other than Philip J. Fry and sometimes that even gets strange because he is a human and she is not. Leela, Fry and Bender are crew members for Planet Express. Leela is often seen being the main heroine of the show and she almost always rescues her mates from troubling times. Her voice actor is Katey Sagal who is best known for her role in Married with Children playing Peg Bundy who sometimes was somewhat of a dim witted wife to Al Bundy.
