How to Draw a Religious Cross

These are all very nice and colorful lessons that I have already submitted. Since the Easter holiday is basically all about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I figured I would do a tutorial on how to draw a religious cross step by step. There is no difference between a regular cross and a religious cross, the only thing that gives a religious cross its name is the fact that it is usually surrounded by hearts, a statue of Jesus being crucified hanging on the cross and with other things from nature. I really did have a fun time drawing out this cross because I was feeling very creative. I wanted the cross to look as beautiful as Jesus is portrayed out to be. I colored it blue with a purple sparkly background and a simple butterfly off to the left side. I also drew a wrap of a palm leaf that starts at the bottom and goes all the way up to the right side of the cross. This is a really easy lesson to learn from and once you are done you can color and decorate it any way you like. Learning how to draw a religious cross step by step gives you a warm loving feeling because it is truly a spiritual thing to create. I will be back with one more lessons for you all before I call it a night so stay tuned for my return. Peace out people.

how to draw a religious cross step 1

STEP 1.

Okay lets start this step by drawing out the lining of a cross for the frame. Next draw four circles for the tips of each end. Next draw one swirl line starting at the bottom and then draw a series of lines for the butterfly's guidelines.

STEP 2.

Now what you will do next is draw out the actual shape of the cross and make sure you take your time when doing so. Once that is done you will draw the shape of the swirl that you see at the bottom. Once you are done you can start drawing out the wing shapes of the butterfly.

STEP 3.

Now that you have reached step three you will draw out the rest of the butterfly as you see here. Now that the butterfly is complete you will draw the rest of the palm that is in the background of the cross. Draw three holes on the bottom of the cross.

STEP 4.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do is detail the decoration on the butterfly's wings and then add the antenna balls. Next draw add the decorative lines under the butterfly and then you are all done. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

STEP 5.

This is what your drawing of a cross should look like when you are done. All you have to do now is customize it by adding your own color. I hope you had a fun time learning how to draw a religious cross step by step.
