The first step is the center line for the lips.

2

Use the center line for your guide as you sketch out the top and bottom lining for the lips or mouth.

Next, sketch in the opening for the mouth so you can see the two separate lips. Make sure there is shape to the lips like so instead of a straight line.

For the last drawing step you will need to take your time as you draw in the stitches or thread that closes the mouth shut. The dimples at the ends of each thread piece should also be prominent for that 'pulled' effect. Erase the mistakes you have ma

Description: Now it's time for some lessons on cool tattoo art, or just basic concept art in general. Up next I will attempt to show you "how to draw stitched lips", step by step. The set of lips that I have drawn was strictly my idea. I wanted to do something cool that people would love and have fun with. Even though the lips are stitched, I tried not to draw the stitches too complicated to recreate because I know that making looped lines can get tricky. The bumps where the thread comes out and goes into the lips should be drawn in a careful manner to make sure to get the full effect of the picture. In the coloring process I added some blood drips at the bottom part of the lip. You can obviously add your own personal tweaks to this concept, or leave as is. Whatever you choose to do is fine by me. Drawing tattoo lips will be easier then you think. Peace out mi amigos and have fun.
