I am so proud of this first tutorial that I am about to submit. This creature that took me all day to sketch out was totally random and some what of an accident. I began my day with just scribbling on my tablet until some ideas came to me. After trial and error I began a sketch that took me into another world completely. What started out as a dragon, this creature became some what of a female alien/dragon/android with a pair of wings and insect like legs behind the set of dragon like wings. Her upper body stayed looking like a human while her arms, hands and feet resemble that of a dragon. I added the concept of an insect with her sketch and began designing her clothes which later turned into a droid looking female that had a twist of an alien. I don’t know how but, her face came out looking like a character from Hellrasier and her clothes are sort of gothic and cool. When my mother came up stairs to see what I was drawing she was like “oh my god”! She told me that the image looked like something George Lucas would conjure up for one of his alien beings for a movie. I don’t know how many of you people know but, my real dream is to draw out characters from my imagination for a movie that I write, and direct. One day I hope to combine artistic skills with directing skills and walk the same path that all these great directors ventured. I absolutely admire people like George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, as well writers like Steven King and artistic creators like H.R. Giger. The girl that I am about to show you how to draw is half android and half alien. The alien side of her is combined with a dragon, and a fly. I decided to expose her jaw and teeth on the side to make her look more like a lost being on a planet that is foreign to her. I don’t have a name yet for this creation but as soon as I do come up with a name I will revise the text to her.
