Start with a shape for the head, then sketch in the facial guidelines. You will then draw a neck line as well.

Using the guides you just made, begin sketching out Judy's face structure. You will also start the process of getting her hair drawn as well by making some layered lines that crown her head.

Here we will work on the face before sketching out the head and hair. Start with the eyebrows, then draw in the thick lining for her upper eyelid. The lining or shape of her eyes should be dark and bold. Add the bottom lid then sketch in the lashes.

We will now sketch out the shape of her nose and color in the nostrils. When that is done simply draw the mouth or lips, then proceed to step five which happens to be my favorite step.

Some of you may not know this, but I love drawing hair especially when it is hair like Judy Garland. You will slowly draw the long wavy locks to form Judy's hairstyle as she wore it in The Wizard of Oz. Add various curls and detailing, then add the b

For the last step, all you have to do is draw the collar of her dress, then draw the shoulder which is also the sleeve of her dress. Erase your mistakes then you're done.

Here is the clean line art from your drawing when you are done. Color in the face that America went crazy for at one time, then show off your work of art.
