Okay let's start this first step by drawing out one big circle for the body and then a half circle on the top for the ladybug's head. Once you have done that you can then add three short legs on each side of the body as you can see here.

Now that you have a basic frame built out for your ladybug, you can now start drawing in the curled antennas and then thicken the legs and add some detail as well. You will then add a total of five spots that these beautiful insects have as their sig

Okay in this step you will erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. Once you are done you can color it in and your done. You have just learned how to draw a ladybug step by step.

Description: Hello all and welcome to another drawing lesson here on DragoArt.com. Since I haven’t been submitting lesson in a few days I wanted to at least submit something new just to keep the site updated with a different tutorial to look at and learn from. So, I will show you how to draw a ladybug step by step. I was looking in the insect section and I noticed that I had almost every kind of insect except a ladybug. I wanted to make a lesson that would be extremely simple to accomplish so that anyone is able to draw a ladybug insect step by step. Now ladybugs are probably one of a handful of bugs that are attractive in appearance and are favorites by many people. There bright deep red color and black spots make these insects very popular. But pop culture is not the only ones that have a thing for ladybugs. Farmers love these bugs because they eat or feed on destructive plant eating insects. In fact it is a fact that as soon as ladybugs hatch from their larva state, they immediately start eating non-stop and can consume up to five thousand aphids in a six week period. Did you know that there are over five thousand different species of ladybugs in existence? It’s true, there are all kinds of different ladybugs and not all of them eat other insects. You would think that their attractive color would make them somewhat appealing to predators’ right? Wrong, ladybugs use their color to ward off other predators that would eat them in a New York minute. These bugs are truly fascinating and this tutorial will show you how to draw a ladybug step by step. I hope that you have fun with this lesson as I did making it. I will be back in a while with something more for you guys to learn from and draw. Until then I bid thee farewell. Peace out!
