To draw Valdimir from League of Legends, we should first sketch in some basic guide line. Using a 2H or harder pencil, lightly sketch in a stick figure shape such as this one. These lines do not have to be perfect, since they will be erased later on. He should have a wide stance with his right arm should be outstretched while his left arm is bent.
Next, we should sketch in the basic human form. Doing this will ensure that the figure is proportionate when we apply clothing later on. You do not need to include details such as facial feature or fingers. These lines are just guides as well. Draw the construction lines of the face.
Now that the guide lines have been sketched out, let's begin working on his face. Use the facial construction lines from the previous step to help place the eyes, nose, and mouth. Do not give him pupils or iris's on his eyes. Curl the edges of his mouth upwards slightly to give him a grin.
His hair has a decent amount of length to it. It is very straight and should fall evenly on both sides of his face. He also has a tuff of hair pointing upwards from the back of his head, which resembles a spike shape.
Valdimir's jacket has a series of diamond-shaped buttons or clasps running down his torso in pairs. There should be 4 pairs of clasps, each pair is connected together by a short length of rope that hangs loosely in the middle.
His jacket has large, pointy lapels. First draw a vertical line through the mid section of the torso (behind the ropes of the clasps). Then draw a large lapel protruding from either side of the top of the mid line. These upper lapels should be especially pointy and they run down behind the second pair of clasps and into the third pair. A second lapel protrudes from beneath the upper lapel, but it does not have such pointy tips. The upper and lower lapels should merge together behind the third pair of clasps, and then continue down the torso and form a U shape beneath the lowest pair of clasps. Draw a thin strip of decorative trim along the edges of the lapel.
The jacket has a massive raised collar that surrounds Valdimir's entire head. First draw a short, snug collar around his neck that is connected with a diamond shaped button in the center. Then draw the large collar protruding from behind the upper pair of clasps. The ends of the collar should fold down and we should see the tips of the backside of the collar. Connect the tips of the collar with an arched line that runs behind his head.
Drawing the flaps of the jacket can be a lot of fun. First, draw the remaining torso parts of the jacket, such as the pointed shoulders and the chest and waste. Draw a few wrinkles around the waste. The flaps of the jacket should be flowing wildly in the wind. They should fold back revealing the inside of the jacket. The tips of the flaps should come close to the ground and be connected by a long wavy line running through the leg area.
Now draw the upper legs and knees. The knees should be bent slightly and the pants should have a few folds in them. Draw a few vertical stripes running up the pants, but be sure that theses lines mold to the contours of the folds and wrinkles you have drawn.
His boots have large flaps that fold over the tops. These flaps should have a slit up the middle that creates and elongated V shape. Draw a thin strip of trim along the edges of the boot flaps. The boots should have numerous wrinkles around the ankles along with a large buckle. Draw the left foot slightly closer to us than the right.
Go back up the body and draw his arms. The right arm should be outstretched but still have a few wrinkles on the inside of the elbow. The left arm should be bent and the elbow tucked behind the torso. The sleeves have large folds at the ends similar to those on the boots with decorative trim along the edges.
His hands should be palms up with his fingers curled slightly, as he will be creating an energy ball. His fingernails should be long and sharp.
His sleeves each have a set of three large blades hanging from beneath them. The blades should be pointing back slightly.
Finally, draw the energy ball being formed above his left hand. The ball should have wisps of energy trailing beneath is and swirling around it.
Now that we are done penciling the image, we can ink it using a Micron marker or a brush and India ink. Carefully go over each line with patience and be sure not to accidentally ink any unneeded guide lines. Use a fine tipped marker to ink the energy ball and the trim of his jacket. When the ink is dry, erase your pencil marks with a kneaded eraser.
You can add more depth to the image by giving it shadow. Establish your light source, which should be the energy ball, and black out the opposite side of the figure and each piece of fabric and fabric wrinkles. Also black out the underside of the jacket behind the legs.
If you need to make any corrections, use white ink or opaque white paint. You can also use it to add highlights if needed. And that is how you draw Valdimir from League of Legends! I hope you enjoyed it!
