How to Draw Sloths

1

The sloth has flat head, short snout and tiny ears (they are not visible because of the long fur). First of all, draw the simple guide lines.

2

Draw the outline of the head. The fur is short on the face and long and shaggy on the rest of the body. Draw also the mouth.

3

Add nose, eye and the furry contour of the face.

4

Add some details to the fur.

5

With some more work your sloth should look similiar to this pencil sketch. Notice how the fur is darker on the muzzle and around the eyes.

6

Sloths' hands and feet have long, curved claws to allow them to hang upside-down from branches without effort.

7

Sloth's body is quite simple: round head, bulky and elongated body and long legs. They pass the majority of their life attached to branches.

8

Draw the eyes, the nose and the muzzle. Use the guide lines previously drawn to do so.

9

Draw the outline of the head and the hairy contour of the face.

10

Draw the long haired body.

11

Draw the thick and long legs clinged to the branch. Add also three long and curved claws.

12

Draw the branch and add details to the fur.

13

With some more work your sloth should look similiar to this pencil sketch. I hope you liked this tutorial about sloths!
