You will start this first step by drawing out the long limb guidelines as you see here for his body. Start with a circle for his head and then a line from the back of the head all the way down to make a hump back shape. End this step by drawing out

2

You will then thicken his body by adding the same shaped lines on the other side starting with the shape of his chest.

3

Now draw him some deep eye sockets, a thin line for the mouth and start off with sticks for arms. Almost like a snowman.

4

Again thicken his arms with the same lines and he has a collar that resembles a leaf shape, draw that out as well and don't forget his nostrils. Once that is done you will proceed onto the next step.

5

Sketch out the stitching on his mouth and draw a tail on the back of his jacket.

6

Continue on to draw his hands by starting with simple lines that are going to be his skeleton hands.

7

Here is the finished product. See how awesome he looks? I really enjoy the Nightmare Before Christmas movie, and, well, I was inspired to make a really cool and typical Jack Skellington. I hope you enjoyed the tut!

Description: Halloween Town is where you’ll find the “Pumpkin King” Jack Skellington. He is the extra long and lanky skeleton character in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. He is the main character in this movie that has a dog named Zero that has a ghostly body and a skeleton face with a red nose like Rudolf. His lovely lady friend Sally, who is a rag doll that absolutely loves Jack, always tries to get Jack Skellington’s attention. I was just surfing the web and seen a lot of the Pumpkin King everywhere. Yet I didn’t find a place where I could learn "how to draw Jack Skellington" at all online. So of course I said to myself “let me put one up” so I did just that. In this tutorial I will show you "how to draw Jack Skellington" from The Nightmare Before Christmas step by step. The instructions are really easy to read and follow. He is nothing more than a bunch of lines and bones. The hardest part about drawing Jack is making those straight lines in Photoshop, which was annoying. The sketch on paper only took like an hour and a half. But I managed to finally get it done after three hours. I drew him standing on top of the famous hill in the movie that looks like a shriveled up hat. I was going to draw Sally with him, but I thought I would let you decide if you wanted her in the picture. Anyway have a blast "drawing Jack Skellington". After your done upload it online and let me see how it came out, that way there you can comment on mine and I can comment on yours. Peace out people.
