This next character that I am going to show you how to draw is by request from a member of DragoArt.com. Like Ruby Gloom I had no idea what or who this female character was. So for my next requested character, I will show you "how to draw Emily Strange" from Emily the Strange step by step. I had to read up on this character and it was pretty hard because there is nothing good to say. Emily Strange started out being an image used on stickers that would be disbursed at concerts, bike and skateboarding stores, and other marketing needed by various businesses. Emily Strange was developed and created by Nathan Carrico in the year of 1991 for a company called Santa Cruz Skateboards. Rob Reger and Matt Reed founded the company Comic Debris which is a clothing line. The character of Emily the Strange is suppose to be a thirteen year old girl that wears all black with a pair of white Mary Jane shoes. She has jet black hair which kind of is style in an old fashioned way, and she is very appealing to Gothic crowds as she herself lives life in a dark Gothic manner. Emily the Strange also appeared in her own comic book series starting in 2001 and each one was said to be a hit. Now Emily, is almost always seen with her four pet cats Sabbath, Nee-Chee, Miles, and Mystery who happens to be the cats leader and closest to Emily. All in all Emily Strange is a cool looking character that I will look into in more depth as I am now a fan. This tutorial will show you how to draw Emily Strange from Emily the Strange step by step.
