How to Draw a Spruce Tree

1

Yes, start with a single vertical line.

2

Starting at the top, draw the triangular tip of the spruce tree. The sides should be jagged, and the bottom should be capped the same way.

3

Start drawing your second tier of needles like so, then add some detailing.

4

The third tier is next. As you can see the length of this tier has longer needles. Draw the shaggy style of the needles, then add some detailing to the surface.

5

You are basically going to repeat the same thing you did previously. The only difference is the length of the needles or tier.

6

Again, draw in more of the spruce tree. The edges should be rounded and the needles should be longer.

7

Almost done folks. This is where the spruce trees starts to take form. You will draw in the second to last layer of needles, then add detailing to the surface of the tree.

8

Lastly, draw the end layer of the tree, followed by the trunk. As you can see the tree trunk is detailed with the grooves for the bark. Erase any mistakes.

9

Here is your spruce tree when you are all done. Now you can color things in.
