How to Draw Yui, Yui From Sword Art Online

Make a nut like shape for the head, then draw the shoulders. You will connect the two shapes with the torso and neck like like so, then add facial guidelines.

Define the shape of her face like so, then begin drawing out her straight lined bangs and some of the hair that cups or clings to the side of her face. As you can see her bangs have slits making a parted look.

Using the facial guides, draw in the big eyes, semi thick eyebrows, then add the nose and cute smile.

Add more length to her hair, then draw the shape of her neck. Once that is done you will draw in the sweater collar and that should be thick. Add the detailing to the collar, then proceed to step five.

Lastly, draw in the rest of her hairstyle which is also the shape of her head. Don't forget to add the detailing to her hair, Draw the shoulders, then erase the mistakes.

Here is how Yui looks when you are all done. Color her in and that's it. Nice work people.

Description: I guess there is a lot more fans of Sword Art Online then I thought. This next tutorial is going to be on a character that is not human. Instead she is a mysterious AI, but she has this innocence about her appearance. Here is "how to draw Yui", step by step. One thing I noticed is that her name is 'Yui'. There is so many manga and anime characters that have this name so it's kind of confusing making a tutorial on figure with a familiar name. Anyways, Yui was found by both Kirito and Asuna when they where in the woods of Floria. Her appearance is simple because she has long black hair with a straight style bang, bright black colored eyes, a very friendly smile and simple clothing. I love drawing characters that look like Yui because it's so fun and inspiring. She has soft features which means you naturally make soft strokes when drawing Yui from Sword Art Online.
