How to Draw Ziggy
Geese, so far I have been working through the roof just to get some updated lessons up for you all. This next tutorial is going to be wicked simple and somewhat fun. In honor of Valentine’s Day I will be showing you how to draw Ziggy step by step. Now many of you know who this comic character is and some of you may not know who Ziggy is. Who is Ziggy and where did he come from you ask? Well Ziggy is a cartoon character that was created by a fellow named Tom Wilson who was an executive for American Greetings which is a card company that produces greeting cards for all sorts of occasions. The image of Ziggy is as basic as they come. He is a very round short stocky fellow with a shinny bald head. He often wears just a shirt and he is sometimes accompanied with his dog Fuzz. Ziggy’s character has been used for all different kinds of occasions like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, and Thanksgiving. Ziggy made his first appearance back in 1969 and he aired one Christmas special in 1982 called “Ziggy’s Gift”. I think that this character is a sweet looking guy that is shy, lovable and at times naïve. I will show you how to draw Ziggy step by step. And because Valentine’s Day is less than a month away, I made sure that he is celebrating early. I hope you like this tutorial lesson I know you will definitely find him easy to draw. There is only three simple steps which makes drawing Ziggy a breeze. I shall return my minions so stay tuned for more drawing fun.

STEP 1.
Let's start by drawing a few basic shapes and lines. First draw a circle for his head and then add the circle shape of his nose. You will then make a dash above the nose and then draw out the shape of his shirt or torso. Once that is done you will add the limb lines for his arm and leg as seen here.
STEP 2.
You are already on your last drawing step and what you need to do is finish drawing out the face and add the two dots for his eyes. Give him a smile and then draw out the sleeves for his shirt and add the nubs of his hands or fingers. You will end this step by drawing out the legs and feet and then erase all the guidelines you drew in step one.
STEP 3.
Once you are done your character should come out looking like the one you see here. All you have to do now is color him in and your done. I hope you had a butt load of fun learning how to draw Ziggy step by step.Comments: Post Comment
