Drawing a soldier for kids is going to be like making a South Park character. Start with a simple circle, then draw out the candy corn shaped body. Add one facial guide, then move to step two.

2

Next, draw in the camouflage pattern on the helmet, then draw the chin straps, large eyes, then the semi-frowned mouth.

3

You can say that the head and face of this soldier is done. What you need to do now is draw out the body shape in detail, then draw in one arm which is on the right side, then draw a nub.

4

You will first need to draw the pockets, then draw in camouflage on the uniform. Add the belt then the sleeves.

5

All that needs to be one here is drawing out the rifle. Sketch in the detailing to the rifle's design, then add the shape of the barrel.

6

For the last step all you need to do is draw out the legs, then draw the feet. Erase the mistakes if you made any at all.

7

Here is how your soldier comes out looking when you're done. Now you can color him in and be on your way.

This is probably the cutest drawing I have made today. I love how simple the soldier came out because I know that he will be easy for kids replicate.
