The AH-1 Cobra is nothing more then an attacking military machine that was used in Vietnam. The Cobra was also used to transport weapons and to target them on point. This chopper is sometimes called the “HueyCobra” or the “Snake”. This flying attack bird was at one point part of the U.S. Army attack fleet in the mid-sixties. Since that time it was upgraded with an Apache. I thought it might be cool to make a tutorial that provides step by step instructions on how to draw a military helicopter. I know my drawing of this chopper is not great and that is because I normally don’t draw things like this. I tried to give the Cobra as much detail I could but the photograph I was using was a bit blurry so I’m sure it's not as accurate. The image looks short to, and that is because I was trying to give the appearance of the chopper being seen on an angle. This is definitely something I intend on improving over time. Just seeing how warped the image came out I’m going to practice drawing it some more and put up a better helicopter. This particular sketch took me about two hours to draw. I’m sure someone more experienced can do better but at least the blue print is out there. Well make the best of it and I’m sure you can do better just learn from my mistakes.
