Well I hope everyone here on DragoArt.com had a very happy New Year and holiday. Now because one of my last tutorials was a humongous hit I have decided to do another tutorial on how to draw an anime male body figures step by step. I know some of you said that I should put boxers on my male figure and believe me I considered it, but after thinking of it I said “nah, I’ll give him the body of a Ken doll”. And so I did. I know that many of you will find this lesson helpful and appreciated because when I was trying to learn how to draw anime bodies I couldn’t find any tutorial site that could aid me with my faults. I did however teach myself how to draw anime figures when I purchased a book that showed me how to fix my problem and draw a whole lot better. Now instead of you having to buy a book, I am going to show you what I have learned in this easy step by step drawing lesson on how to draw anime bodies for a male. I absolutely loved the way that this lesson came out because he is so neat and portioned. To tell you the truth I think I may have done a better job with this anime male figure than the female. I know some of you will beg to differ, but for me this sketch drawing came out wicked. I hope you will use this lesson to your full advantage to help better your skills at drawing anime body figures. STEP 1.
Okay this is the first part of the three male anime body poses that I have drawn out for all you anime lovers out there. Once you have completed this anime pose you should be able to draw out and cloth any male anime character whether it be from an anime/manga series or from your own imagination. Happy drawing and remember, take your time.
STEP 2.
Well lets start by drawing out the shapes and guidelines to form a mannequin like frame. Start with a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. Once that is done you will draw a neck line and then the shape of his torso which resembles a small shield. Add a torso line of position that connects to the bottom half of the body and then add the remaining limb guidelines as shown to you here.
STEP 3.
Okay as you can see once you have drawn out the guidelines and shapes from the previous step you will start working on the actual outlined shape of our anime male model. What you will be doing here is first start sketching out the semi long spiked hair style as seen here and be sure to add the bangs. Once that is done add a neck line and then draw out the shoulders and shape of his right arm and fingers. Once you have done that add the lining for the definition of his chest and left arm pit. Draw out the shape of his legs and then move to the next step.
STEP 4.
Well you have made it to step four of this three part male anime body pose tutorial. What you will start doing here is sketch in the detail to his hair style and then finis off the lining of his hair on the right. Draw him some eyes and pupils as well as a nose and mouth. Once you have finished with that you will give him some man nipples, rib lines and a detailed or defined stomach. Add collar bone lines and finish the shape of his left arm. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and then move to then next step.
STEP 5.
This is what your first anime male figure should look like when you are done. All you have to do now is color him in and draw him some cloths. I hope you enjoyed this first part of a three part male anime body series. Continue to the next step to see what is next.
STEP 6.
Now that you have completed your first lesson on a anime male body pose you will start learning how to draw an anime body front view. As you can see our model is very handsome and in shape. When you are done with this second part of the lesson you will be better at what you do when it comes to learning how to draw anime people/body figures. Lets proceed onto the first step shall we?
STEP 7.
Okay, just like the first body pose you will start this step by drawing out a mannequin frame to help us draw out the male anime model. Start with a circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then add a neck line as well as the shape of his torso and mid section or waist. Once that is drawn you can add the limb guidelines for the arms and legs.
STEP 8.
Now that you have the frame down packed, you will add some shape to this male model. Add the shape of a chin and jaw and the start drawing out the shape of the arms and legs. That is pretty much it for this step so move to the next.
STEP 9.
Now that you are one step closer to the end of this second part anime pose series, you will start to fill in the gaps. Start by giving him some hair starting with his bangs. Next draw the lining of his eyes than mouth. Draw out the shape of a neck and then thicken his arms and legs. Add collar bone lines and then pelvic detail.
STEP 10.
This is your last step of this second part series. What you will do here is finish off his hair style and then give him some eyes. Detail and define his body like the chest and stomach. Give him some fingers on the left hand and then add his groin if you want. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in the beginning of the step.
STEP 11.
Once you are done your male anime character should come out looking like this. All that is left to do is color him in and give him some clothes and your done. Hopefully you have learned something new with this second lesson.
STEP 12.
Well folks this is the last of the three part tutorial combination series. In this lesson you will learn how to draw an anime male body pose from the side or side view. I hope that you have all liked what I have done with this lesson as well as the lesson on the female body. Lets get started with this last anime male body pose so we can seal the deal.
STEP 13.
Start by drawing out a circle for the head and then the shape or lining for the face including the nose, mouth and chin or jaw. When drawing a figure or face from the side these are the things that you have to make sure you add. Next draw a neck line as well as the shape of the torso. Give him a back line to connect the bottom to the top. Add the arm and leg limb lines and then move to the next step.
STEP 14.
In this step you will start sketching out the hair style which is jagged at the tips. Now you will draw out the lining of his eyes and then the mouth. Draw out the shape of his arm and then the shape or lining of his stomach. Thicken the legs and then move to the next step.
STEP 15.
Well you have made it to the last step and what you will do now is detail the bangs and the eyes. You will then add the shape of the shoulder and then draw out the definition of his chest from the side. Add stomach lines as well as fingers and leg. Erase all the guidelines and shapes and move to the last step.
STEP 16.
This is what your figure should look like when you are done. Like the other finished steps all you have to do is color him in and give him some clothes. I hope you have liked this three part drawing tutorial lesson on how to draw Anime Body Poses step by step.Post a comment
This tut is awesome, I tried drawing a guys body and it didn't come out right at all lol this helped a lot

hey, umm.. don't you have to be over 13 to join this webite...? 
this less on has been very helpful, I've been trying to start a manga for a while now and had absolutely no clue how to draw a male body this has cleared up any issues I've had

I don't see why people are complaining,it's not really showing anything graphic...It's kinda like a mannequin and I've never heard anyone complaining about them,it's just implies nudity...Anyway this was very helpful to me.
