1

Make the circle for the head then draw the lower portion of the face. Add the facial guide, then move onto step two.

2

Sketch out the shape of the face, then draw in a full set of bangs. The bangs should be pointed.

3

Draw out the shapes of the eyes which are very sharp at the ends. Color in the pupils, then draw in the eyebrows, nose and mouth. As you can see Kanda has a very strong or serious look on his face.

4

Draw the back part of the head, then sketch in the crease in the middle of the head. You will also draw the two long strands of hair down the sides of his face like so.

5

We will continue to work on getting Kanda's hair drawn out. Draw in the large long ponytail which is a very common part of a Japanese Samurai warrior. Add some detailing to the hair and add the clip at the base of his tail.

6

For the last drawing step you will add the shape of the neck, then draw the shoulders, and detailing to his clothing. Erase the mistakes then you are all done.

7

Here is Yu Kanda when you are done. Color him to bring this D. Gray-man star to life.

Description: As I sat there watching an episode of D. Gray-man I found myself getting into the series. I watched the one where they introduce Yu Kanda the young Japanese Exorcist that has an aggressive personality and looks to kill. For my second lesson you will learn "how to draw Yu Kanda", step by step. I like this anime character even if he looks like a female. The long Katana sword that he uses or transforms his innocence in is wicked cool as well. I really enjoyed this tutorial creation because it's always fun drawing figures that have a deep personality. I will return in a bit people so stick around to see what else I have to upload. Peace and like always, enjoy.
