How to Draw Dragon Eyes

1

Begin by making an arched line going horizontally across your paper or drawing canvas.

2

You will now slowly sketch out the shapes of the dragon's eyes. Be sure to add the waterline, as well as that edgy lined look.

3

Sketch out the wrinkle lines that will form that raised look for your dragon eyes. Draw and color in the slits for the pupils, then add some slight detailing where needed.

4

For the rest of the steps you will take your time as you begin drawing the scales down the side of the dragon's face. Be random with your scales, as well as creative as you like. Scales can be shaped into any form as well.

5

Continue with sketching out the scales on the right side the same way you did the left. Again, be random and creative.

6

You are already almost done. Draw out the scales on the top of the dragon face, then add specs around the top parts of the eyes.

7

You will begin sketching out the rest of the scales that covers the dragon's face. As you can see when the scales are all added, you can actually see the formation of the nose or snout. Erase the mistakes before you leave.

8

Here is the dragon eyes. Now you can use them to be the center of the dragon head you where thinking about sketching, or you can leave the eyes as you see them here and just color them in.

Description: Okay, so before I end the whole animal eyes submission for a while, I wanted to make sure that I uploaded a lesson on "how to draw dragon eyes", step by step. The simple design ends up coming out really nice, and very traditional. The gloss in the eyes, and the texture of the dragon's scales makes this tutorial look so exciting to tackle. I have always loved drawing dragon eyes because I can be as creative as I wanna be. So enjoy this tut folks, and remember to stick around to see what else pops up. Peace!
