How to Draw Lori, Lori from The Walking Dead, Sarah Wayne Callies
There is no shading involved so you can focus on this tutorial line drawing! This Lori Grimes (played brilliantly by Sarah Wayne Callies), who is Sheriff Rick Grimes wife and the character featured in this tutorial. I love this character and was tense every time she was in harms way. Birthing a child in a savage world infested with zombies was the ultimate sacrifice. Saying goodbye to her son and Maggie (who afterwards gave a C-section with only a knife) was the most heart wrenching scene I have watched in a long time. If you're wondering why the right side of her hair is fading away, it is a memorial to one great character that has died. With this very popular comic book, game, and TV show, you either love it or hate it. And I absolutely love this show. Yeah, there are zombies, but this brilliant thriller has an amazing cast you tend to love. The landscape, cityscape and drama is so real until you feel as if you're right there with the survivors. STEP 1.
Draw the oval lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw it as seen in the picture.
STEP 2.
Now draw in the bisecting red line to balance her facial features.
STEP 3.
Sketch lightly the crescent red lines for hair line and head mass.
STEP 4.
You can draw in the lines a. for eyebrows, b. for eyes, c. for nose, d. for mouth, and e. for shoulder placements.
STEP 5.
Now draw in Lori's eyes and eyebrows.
STEP 6.
Observe where Lori's features appear in relation to the guidelines. Draw in her nose, lips, and shading.
STEP 7.
Watch closely how Lori's face outline, jawline, chin, and part of her neck relate to the guidelines. As you draw, you will have more accuracy.
STEP 8.
Since she has a lot of hair, I did one half portion for you. When you sketch her hair, add those straight lines and curls. Try staying close to the lines that represent the direction of the hair flow. This will help if you decide to shade it in.
STEP 9.
Now draw in the second portion of the hair in this step. Don't forget the lower part of her neck and some of her necklace.
STEP 10.
Now finish drawing in her neck, collar, and necklace. If you haven't already, you can erase your guidelines.
STEP 11.
I made this line drawing especially for you. If you want you can either color it in or shade it. Next step has different types of pencils you can use.
STEP 12.
PENCIL STROKES & TONE, SHADING, TEXTURE -- For your convenience, I have inserted this step with different pencils, strokes to use. And you can study the shapes that make up this drawing universe, along with tone, shading, and texture.
STEP 13.
Best thing you can do when drawing hair is to establish the general shape then work in the main strands of hair by holding your pencil at a 45 degree angle for stroking and coverage. Then, as in the third picture, you can work in more details. But here's a TIP! Don't draw a straight line for the hairline. Do tiny strokes to represent beginning of hair at its root. Look at real people and see their hairline isn't a straight line. Practice and your picture will look more realistic.
STEP 14.

Thank you!!! True, she didn't have to get it on with Shane. But in a world like that with her hubby in a coma run over by Zombies... I can see that happening. They thought he was dead & they were grieving for him and the world. BUT Shane did need to BACK OFF when hubby came back. I could see Rick taking out Shane. What a show! 
Me personally, nope, I wouldn't have touched Shane. I haven't read the comic books, but they sure can do some great writing, conflict, and drama!
