How to Draw Rick Grimes, Rick Grimes From the Walking Dead

1

Start off by making the shape for Rick's head. Sketch in the facial guidelines like so, then proceed to step two.

2

Sketch out the actual structure of Rick's face as well as his hairline. Now that Rick has been through a lot, his appearance is more rugged than ever before.

3

We will begin with sketching out the eyebrows. This should be done using soft strokes in a shading motion so you end up with a deep look. Also, lightly sketch in the sides of the nose near the eyebrows like so. You will then draw in the nose, and beg

Begin sketching out the lid lining to form the eyes. Once that is done you can add some of the wrinkles or creases on his forehead like so. Finish sketching out his nose and work on his mouth or lips some more until your drawing looks similar to the

Then, we'll sketch and fill in the shapes of his lids, and the ears. Notice how we're going to be using lots of dark shadows and tones for the lids, because Rick (Andrew), has thick 'tired' lids. Take your time with this, as patience matters to creat

Then, we'll start sketching the beard, but slowly. Start with a soft - dark graphite pencil to fill in the darker spots first, shaping each piece of hair with swift yet thick strokes. As each individual facial hair is drawn, lighting the line thickne

Next, let's draw the hair. In the new season of The Walking Dead (Season 3), his hair is fuller than it was in Season 2. I think this is because it's been a year since they've abandoned the farm. Always draw the outlines thicker than the lines in the

Lastly, draw the neck, and the collar which frames his face. Initially, I was going to draw his whole torso including the gun he was holding, but I figured it would be too difficult for most novice artists to draw. Therefore, I left off with the stro

Description: If you are a big Walking Dead fan like I am you should definitely notice the face you see before you now. If I was to watch The Walking Dead series from beginning to Season 3, I would fall in love with the show all over again. Today I will start my submission day by showing you all how to draw Rick Grimes, step by step. He is by far my favorite character from the series. Last season I was shocked that they killed off Shane which was Rick's best friend. In the beginning Rick was a wholesome hero that did everything for everybody no matter what the conscience was. He would put his life on the line for anyone he came across. Over a period of time we watched him transform into what he is today; a ruthless hard hitting survivor that is focused on one thing and one thing only, protecting his family and group. I could never picture the old rick taking a machete to someones head that isn't a walker. Now he will take anyone out that is a threat to himself, and to those he loves. I'm not going to be someone who sits and talks about all the things I love about the series because I would be spoiling the show for everyone who hasn't seen it yet. If you have never watched the Walking Dead before, I would advise you to invest some of your time and begin now. The series is going to go far, and it will always be remembered as one of the greatest shows every to air on television, ever! To me The Walking Dead is the best show I have seen in a very, very long time. It has definitely made its mark. It's amazing how the whole cast is liked, even the ones that annoy you from time to time. I hope you have fun drawing Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. I will be back with more lessons that you will love. Peace out folks!
