How to Draw a Heron Bird
Step 1.
Okay start this step by drawing out the basic shapes and guidelines for the blue heron bird. Start with an egg shapes head and then a long curly line for the neck. Once that is done draw his rock shaped body and then add the shapes for the beak, wings and long legs.
Step 2.
Now that you have drawn out the shapes and guidelines you will add the feathers on the bottom of the wings and then thicken the neck. You will draw out the wing bone and then the thigh shapes and make sure that they are feathery. Once that is done you will start thickening out the legs.
Step 3.
Now that you have made it to step three you will add a line down the middle of the beak. Add some detailing feather lines on the herons neck, stomach and wings. Draw some more feather shapes on the top of the feather tips that you drew in the previous step. Thicken the legs some more and then give this pretty heron an eye.
Step 4.
Well you have made it to the last drawing step. What you will do here is add the black feathers on the top of the head and then add more detailing feather shapes under his right wing. Finish off the feet and add some nails. Erase all the steps that you drew in step one and move to the final step.
Step 5.
Once you are done your drawing will come out looking like the one you see here. All you have to do now is color this bird in and your done. Guess what you have done? Just learned how to draw a heron bird step by step. I hope you had fun.Comments: Post Comment

Absolutely! If you can draw with MS Paint like that, then it would be even better on paper using only a pencil.

Oh wow I just noticed the black Japanese dragon on the scroll! That is pretty sweet! I would have never thought to do that! I was just telling my brother that the scroll was an awesome image too! I wanna see your work when you are done!

I finished the Black Japanese Dragon..uploaded the image ...not certain to where (new here)
And Now the Birds..but I want to change the Birds.not just visual reference the tutorial and draw a derivative.. but use the Heron/bird Tutorial to learn to draw Birds, any angle..any view.

LmMAOOO!!! Dude, I don't think that drawing that good is a one time thing. Sometimes I think the same way when I draw something really awesome like the phoenixes. Idk what it is XD. I'm sure when you practice a whole load you'll get better ^_^
