How to Draw an Ice Wolf, Snow Wolf

Step 1.

You will need to draw a small shape for the wolf's head, as well as a rock shaped body. Attach the two with a neck line.

Step 2.

Here you will begin sketching out the nice form of the muzzle followed by the long cheek fur. Draw the edgy lining to form the ears.

Step 3.

Next up, let's get the face drawn out. Start with sketching out the tip of the nose, then draw out the eye, mouth line, and inner ear detailing.

Step 4.

Okay guys, draw out the hunched back arch, then draw out the neck. The neck line will end when you begin drawing the first front leg and paw. Sketch in the spiked ice fur on the elbows.

Step 5.

Finish the body by drawing the back end, then draw the one hind leg and paw, as well as the other front leg and paw. Don't forget to draw the toes on each paw.

Step 6.

You will now draw out the other back leg, followed by the long layered ice chunk tail.

Step 7.

Erase the guidelines and mistakes then draw in the crack like lines throughout the wolf's body and face. When that is done you are finished.

Step 8.

Here is what the line art looks like when you are all done. Now you can color in your drawing.

Today is a real relaxer. It's raining where I live, and when it's autumn, the weather is cool enough to lay on the couch with the window open as you listen to the water drops all cuddled up with a blanket. That very same cold feeling that makes life enjoyable, is going to be my focus as I fill a request and make a tutorial on "how to draw an ice wolf", step by step. The comfortable solid look that this wolf has makes the whole structure appear to be strong. I like the way that the concept came out, if you notice I gave the wolf's face an anime-ish style. The ¾ angle that the wolf will be drawn in, is going to show the build of it's body. I guess I will shut my trap and let you get busy with drawing wolves in the form of a block of ice. I will return with another great lesson that will scare the pants off of you. Adios people!
