How to Draw Bugs Bunny, Step by Step, Cartoons, Cartoons, Draw Cartoon Characters, FREE Online Drawing Tutorial, Added by Dawn, December 15, 2008, 10:20:42 pm

Okay start this first step on Bugs Bunny by drawing a circle for the top part of the head and then a disc like shape for the bottom part of the face for the mouth and nose area. Next make two more circle shapes for the torso and the bottom part of his body. Once that is done you can add the limb guidelines and the feet and hand shapes.

STEP 2.

Now that you have drawn out a frame for Bugs Bunny, you can start adding shape and details to his face and body. Start by drawing out the shape of his ears, arms and legs. Once that is done you will start sketching out and adding hair like lines to his cheeks and top of his head. Add some finger lines on his right hand and then give him finger shapes on the left hand.

STEP 3.

Step three consist of adding more shape and depth to the ears and body. You will start by making his ears more erect and full looking and then draw out the beginning lines for hie eyes and mouth. Once that is done you will thicken his arms and legs, then draw out the shape and size of his feet. Cap off the finger lines and add a few toe lines.

STEP 4.

Well you have made it you your last drawing step so a pat on the back is in order. You will finish off this last step by adding detailing inside of the ears and then draw out the shapes of his eyes and give him eyelids and a pupil. You will then put some whisker lines on the side of his small rabbit nose and then his big tooth in the front. Add his stomach and foot separation line and then detail the wrist of his hands. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

STEP 5.

Once you are done your wacky rabbit should come out looking like this. All you have to do now is color in this suave hare and you are done. You have just learned how to draw Bugs Bunny step by step. Artist CommentsThis next tutorial is going to be a bit different from the rest that I submitted today because it is on a classic cartoon character that almost everyone has grown up watching. The animated character that I will be giving you a lesson on is funny, smart, spiteful, cleaver, and even sometimes caring. So without further ado it is time that I show you "how to draw Bugs Bunny" step by step. Now Bugs is a rabbit that is seen in a variety of animated shorts from Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. This animated smart mouthed bunny was first introduced to the TV screen back in 1940 with the episode of “A Wild Hare”. He was created and developed by Tex Avery and Robert McKimson. Now according to the two, Bugs Bunny is a rabbit from the Bronx with a very strong New York accent. He is mainly seen eating a carrot living beneath the ground where he is constantly being hunted by Elmer Fudd (who is the bald character that is always dressed in hunting gear and has a slurred speech). Too bad for Elmer his plans of catching Bugs never quite goes his way and is always left looking like a complete fool. Now since Bugs is a very smart hare, it is very easy for him to outwit his catchers. Not only did he have conflict with Elmer Fudd, he is also seen being terrorized by Yosemite Sam, Marvin the Martian, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, Witch Hazel and the very elegant Wile E. Coyote. I grew up watching "Bugs Bunny and friends" with my brother and sister and I loved the show every time he came on the tube. Sometimes my sister used to say to me “if I were a cartoon female rabbit Bugs would be my boyfriend” and that was very funny and cute at the same time. Now a days you can see Bugs Bunny everywhere, from being printed on t-shirts and pajamas, to posters and folders. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Bugs Bunny character step by step". I know you will find the steps easy to follow because they come with simple to read and understand instructions.
