How to Draw The Chipettes
How did you all like those five tutorials yesterday, they were pretty sweet right? Well today I have more drawing fun in store for you all. I will start the day with a really cute, sweet and popular lesson on three girls that I think you will all recognize. For my first tutorial I will show you "how to draw the Chipettes, step by step". The Chipettes are three female chipmunks that was originally discovered and found by a little young Australian orphan girl named Olivia. Unfortunately for the girls and young Olivia, the runner of the institution discovered the singing Chipettes and wanted to make a profit from them. Because of that they ran away from the orphanage and ended up in New York alone and homeless once again. At some point the three Chipettes bump into Alvin, Simon and Theodore and they introduce themselves to one an other. The lead member of the Chipettes is Brittney, the smart Chipette is Jeanette and lastly there is the ever so plump and pretty Eleanor. Believe it or not but, it was Alvin that dubbed the name of “Chipettes” to the three girls from out of the wood work. In the new movie that is due to be released in 2009 called “Alvin and The Chipmunks; The Squeakuel, the girls are discovered by Ian and he uses them to make him more money than he can imagine. In the cartoons back in the early and late eighties, Alvin, Simon and Theodore eventually wind up dating Brittney, Jeanette and Eleanor after they become very good friends. Dave Sullivan also winds up taking care of the girls as well and they all share a house together where they remain productive singers that attend school to get an education. When I was growing up I loved watching Alvin and the Chipmunks because they were so hilariously funny. I also loved it when the episodes contained the Chipettes. This tutorial will show you how easy it is to learn how to draw the Chipettes from Alvin and the Chipmunks step by step. I will be back in a few with more drawing fun so stay tuned my little drawing buddies.

STEP 1.
Okay are you ready to start this tutorial lesson or what? The first thing you will do is draw out three circles for the shape of their heads and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw out the shapes and lines for their small torsos and then the limb guidelines for the arms, legs, hands and feet.
STEP 2.
Lets start drawing out Eleanor. The first thing you want to do is draw out the shapes of her big eyes and then draw out the shape for her oversized tie. Next draw the lining for her flared dress and then her legs. Move to the middle to work on Brittney next. The first thing you will do with her is draw out the eye shapes and then start sketching out the shape of her top and her right arm. Next sketch out the shape of her skirt which is also in a flared state and then some of her legs. For Jeanette is the last Chipette that you will work on in this step. Do the same thing draw out the shape of her eyes, shirt sleeve, skirt and oversized sock.
STEP 3.
Okay in this next step you will start sketching out all their hair styles as shown here. Once that is complete start working on drawing out their body parts like the arms, legs, hands and feet. Add some detailing to the clothes like the skirts and socks as shown to you here. Don't forget to draw out their hands as well and make their hair nice and flowing.
STEP 4.
Well you have finally made it to the last drawing step and all you will have to do here is draw in the remaining shapes and lines to complete the girls. First finish off their hair styles and then give all of them eyes and eyelashes as well as eyebrows, noses, teeth and tongues. Next draw out a cookie for Eleanor, a mic for Brittney and eye glasses for Jeanette. Once that is done put the stripes in Eleanor's tie as well as the wrinkles in her dress, a scarf for Brittney as well as her legwarmers and shoes, and then give Jeanette a ribbon in her hair and legwarmers, shoes, and some wrinkle and crease lines in her clothes. You will now start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 5.
Once you are done your cartoon characters should come out looking like this. All you have to do now is give these beautiful girls some color to add pizazz in their attire. I hope you liked this lesson on how to draw the Chipettes from Alvin and the Chipmunks step by step.Post a comment
