So far yesterday I have shown you how to draw a wicked cool griffin and the very pretty and popular Selena Gomez from Wizards of Waverly Place. For my first tutorial of the day I will be showing you how to draw Homer Simpson from the hit show the Simpson’s step by step. I know that this character can be found almost anywhere on the web, but I thought that since I didn’t have any drawing lessons on any of the Simpson characters, I should at least do the family. So every day I will be submitting a character or two from the series until all five members are drawn. Homer is married to Marge and he is the father of Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. He works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and he is often seen either sleeping while at work, or shoving donuts down his throat on a constant basis. Although Homer looks harmless and dim witted, he is actually very rude, overweight, incompetent, clumsy, lazy and he is also very stubborn. He may have a handful of flaws but there is one thing that he is very devoted to, his family. Bart his son is a very ignorant, and he is mainly seen as a rebel. He very seldom calls Homer dad instead he refers to him as a person he socializes with on a daily basis. I love watching the show because it is raw, natural and hilarious. Two of my favorite characters are Bart and Homer and I personally think that they make the whole show. This tutorial will show you how to draw Homer Simpson from The Simpsons step by step. I did all the steps easy enough for anybody to tackle because I know that this character will be attempted by many. I will be back with some more great drawing lessons on your favorite characters in a bit. In the mean time try learning this tutorial or try something that you’ve wanted to do for a while until my return.

Okay Homer Simpson is nothing but a bunch of lines and circles because he is a very plump character. So with your first step you will draw several circle shapes starting with the egg shaped head. Add the facial lines and then draw out the circle for his mouth. Next draw a bell shape for the upper part of his body and then another knob shape for the lower part of his body. Once that is done you can draw the lines for his legs and the cuff line for the bottom of his pants.

Now in step two you will start to add the facial structure of his head, face and body. Start by sketching out the shape of his forehead and then the top of his bald head. Next draw the outline of his mouth and chin. Once that is done you will add his left sleeve and then his big belly shape which also happens to be his shirt line as well. Give him an arm and hand and then a pair of straight legs. Once that is done you are ready to draw Homer's shoes.

Well that was easy huh? You are already on your last drawing step and what you will do now is draw out his big circle shaped eyes, his small nose, the back of his neck and ear and then the rest of his arm. Add some hair pieces to his head and some pupils. The last thing to do is draw out the shape of his collar, his right shoulder shirt sleeve, his delicious donut, and his pant cuff lines. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and you are done.
