How to Draw a Night Elf from World of Warcraft
So today I wanted to do an awesomely exciting character from my favorite game World of Warcraft. My brother and I started playing this game like six months ago and let me tell you something, it’s an awesome game to play too! When I was searching for games I came across World of Warcraft. Some of my friends play the game all the time and we use go online together and play like crazy. To tell you the truth, the very first time I heard of World of Warcraft was when I watched a South Park episode on Comedy Central. You won’t believe how much my family and I laughed watching that episode. My favorite part of it was when Kyle had a bad case of carpotunneland Cartman keeps telling Kyle to keep going and take the pain. Another part about that episode that was funny was when the corporate owners of the World of Warcraft made the whole situation sound life threatening when it was only a game. Anyways, I want to talk more about the Night Elf. Most users that play the World of Warcraft game are a druid class from the Night Elf species. I know being a druid character is pretty sweet. The best part about being one of them is that you can transform yourself into a beast. The classes that you can be for the Night Elf are; Druids, Rouges, Hunters, Warriors, Warlocks, and Wizards. I’m not sure about any other class because my favorite race to play was the Night Elf. Another popular character is the Taurens. They’re like bull looking creatures and they are very, very strong. Anyways, drawing the concept of a Night Elf is going to be labeled under the advanced level. It took me a really long time to sketch and line the whole image. Most members have been asking me what program I use to make my tutorials. It is Photoshop CS3 and I use a Wacom Intuos tablet to draw my images. Sometime I sketch out my images on normal paper. I do this when I make fan art, guns, and manga/anime characters. I had to use like three different references to make the clothing and armor for this female Night Elf. Just so you know this Night Elf that you are drawing is the hunter class. This drawing lesson will show you how easy it is to learn how to draw a Night Elf from world of Warcraft step by step. STEP 1.
Okay like with other body poses you will start this step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes to form a mannequin like frame. First draw a circle fro her head and add the facial guidelines, Next draw out the shape of her torso and then the shapes of her breast. You will then add the remaining guidelines for her limbs such as the arms, long legs and neck. Don't forget the shapes for the knee caps and feet.
STEP 2.
In this next step you will start drawing out the shapes of the shoulder pads that is a part of her armor. These shapes look like an upside down moon crest. You will then draw out the shape of the arm and then begin drawing out the outline of her waist and leaf shaped bottom clothing. You will then draw out her thighs. Before you move onto the next step you will start adding the eyes, nose and mouth as well as the shape of her chin and then her hair strands.
STEP 3.
The first thing you will do here is add the lining for her eyes. You will start drawing out her feather shaped plates that are attached to her shoulder armor. Draw out the shape of her arm plate that covers her forearm. Once that is complete you will draw out her bottom clothing in more detail as you see here. Finish off the lining for her legs and then the lining detailing of her shin plate armor.
STEP 4.
Add the shape of her ears and then begin her lining for her hair. You will then draw out the detailing design in her shoulder armor on the left hand side and then start drawing out her hair that flows down behind her back. Draw out her hand and then begin detailing her loin like clothing.
STEP 5.
You have now made it to your last drawing step and what you will do here is detail her hair a bit more and then you will start the sketching out of her facial detailing around her eyes and on her cheeks. Detail the right side of her shoulder armor and then detail her breast plate that flows under her breast on her rib. Give her some toes and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 6.
As you can see your Night Elf should look like the one you see here once you have completed sketching her out. All you have to do now is color her in and your done. I hope you liked this tutorial on how to draw a Night Elf from World of Warcraft step by step.Comments: Post Comment
