Description: Hello members and visitors, welcome back to another awesome drawing tutorial here on the best drawing tutorial site on the web. I have a few wicked cool tutorials to submit today and the first is going to be on how to draw Goro from Mortal Kombat. For those of you that have absolutely no idea who this character is from the movie or game, I will describe him for you. He is the character that has a total of four arms and on each arm he has three very thick large fingers. Goro made his first Mortal Kombat debut with the release of the first video game in 1992. Now according to the video game story Goro is incredibly old and when I say he is old I mean 2,000 years old. It is said that Goro is a Halfling, half human and half dragon. He was aiding a sorcerer named Shang Tsung to succeed in winning the Mortal Kombat tournament. When Shang Tsung saw that Goro was a good and powerful fighter, he kept him as a regular contender. Goro won a total of nine victories and remained champion for a long while. It wasn’t until his tenth fight when he was defeated by Liu Kang. Of course all of this information about Goro is from the game, but in the Mortal Kombat movie Goro was defeated by Johnny Cage when he leaped to his death as he fell off the ledge of the mountain side that he was fighting Cage on. The original storyline when the character Goro was created, was to have a creature that worked for an evil sorcerer to help him gain victory by becoming an undefeated contender for nearly 500 years. Of course the evil sorcerer was Shang Tsung and the sorcerer’s goal was to eventually enable Shao Kahn, the Emperor of Outworld, to take over Earth. It is said that after the tournament Goro returned to his home land to reunite with his race the Shokan. He has a few powers and abilities which are pretty cool. His fighting abilities include; Fireball which is a ball of fire that shoots from Goro’s hands. The spinning slap is when he spreads his arms out and spins in a circle so that he is smacking his opponents multiple times with his humongous fist. Tremor Pound is when Goro stomps or pounds on the ground creating a rumble that makes his opponent leap in the air. The Leaping Stomp is when Goro jumps in the air, and comes pounding down on his opponent with brute force and strength. The last of his known abilities is the Chest Pound which is when he grabs his enemy with his bottom arms and then pounds done on their heads with his tops arms leaving them practically lifeless for a while. This move was used on Johnny Cage in the movie I think. Anyway, Goro has always been a wicked cool character from the Mortal Kombat gaming series and even cooler in the movie because it looked just like him. This lesson will show you how to draw Goro from Mortal Kombat step by step. I hope you like how I laid out the steps for you with ease to help you conquer this drawing feat. I will be back with other sweet tutorials in a bit so hang tight my fellow artists.
