1

Begin the first step by making a round shape or circle like so. This is for the griffin's head.

2

Using the shape you just made, begin sketching out the shape of the face, as well as the puffy hair on the forehead. Don't forget to draw out the ear and back of the neck or head too.

3

The next thing you want to do is draw a huge eyeball, then color in the actual eye. Add some pretty lashes, then make the mark on the beak for the snout. Draw the other ear, then add detail inside.

4

You are almost done. Draw the rest of the neck, then sketch out the feathery wings as well as the back leg. Also draw in some of the front leg.

5

You will finish your baby griffin by drawing the front legs, toes, and back toes. Draw in the tail then you can start the clean up process. Do this by erasing the mistakes (if any), as well as the guides.

6

Here it is, your new drawing of a baby griffin. Now color it in and show folks what you have done.

Description: The baby hydra came out pretty cool, but to me it didn’t come out as cool or as adorable as this next lesson. Here is "how to draw a baby griffin", step by step. This adorable bird has it all, the heart of a lion, the speed of an eagle, and the power of both combined. This baby griffin is going to leave some of you fantasy creatures out there wiping tears of joy off your faces because this is one simple lesson on recreating something that is loved and adored by so many people. I myself love griffins. In fact, these hybrid birds used to be one of my favorite things to draw when I started out in the arts. Dragons, griffons, mermaids, phoenixes, and other mythical creatures used to all be on my list of things to draw when I really go into art. Nowadays I create these concept drawings that sometimes don’t make sense unless you know what’s going through my mind at the moment. Whenever I create something new I feel like I just made a stain in the fabric of life because other people will view, and learn from lessons that come from my imagination. I love seeing other members upload their own artwork and tutorials because it lets me know that all the time I spend in front of my screen is not just in vein. There is more to drawing than some folks realize. It’s a passion that never goes away. The need and longing to make something new whether it’s on paper or on a screen is an endless desire that almost never goes away. If I’m not drawing, I’m at least thinking about things to draw when I’m doing something else. It’s almost insane if you think about it. Anyways, this is a cute and simple tutorial that will have you drawing a baby griffin of your own in no time at all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. Peace peeps!
