1

Begin with two shapes, one circle for the head, and another for the body. Add a connecting line for the neck.

2

Next, you will draw the forehead of your Goth pony as well as the snout. Make the front part of the neck, then draw the bow and mane. Don't forget to draw the spiked collar. You will add the spikes in the next step.

3

Draw an ear, then draw the large eye as well as her lashes. Color in the large pupil like so, then add detailing to the bow which in this case I tried to make it look like a skull. Add detailing to her mane, then draw the spikes on the collar as well

4

Continue to draw out her long curled mane, as well as add the strand detailing. since this is a Pegasus pony you have to draw the feathered wings which is in two layers. Draw the chest, then draw the leg and hoof.

5

Continue the drawing process by drawing out the rest of the body. This will include the legs, stomach, and long flowing tail. Notice how the tail falls on ground and curls at the ends.

6

Sketch in the tail detailing and then draw the bracelets on each ankle of the pony's legs. Add all of the spikes, then draw the cutie mark which is a skull. Erase all the lines and mistakes that you made in all the steps.

7

Here is what your Gothic pony looks like when you are all done. Color her in and that's it.

Description: I literally can't wait for you guys to try out this lesson on "how to draw a Goth pony", step by step in the form of a My Little Pony character. I drew this figure or concept style art while I was live yesterday and I had a lot of fun. There is so many different types of ponies that you can create in a unique, colorful drawing style. MLP has become increasingly popular in such a short period of time. I guess it's true when they say that good things don't usually die off. My Little Pony has been a product since the eighties and is still surviving strong today in a whole new style or way. The animated cartoon series is very popular, and so are all the ponies that live in Ponyville whether they are recurring figures, or just characters we see once in a while. My version of what a Goth pony would look like keeps the appearance of a traditional My Little Pony figure, and even though its Gothic, it still remains to be very colorful looking. I didn't want to make her too dark so instead of making a dark background, I kept it a simple light gray. I think all you MLP lovers will fall for this lesson on drawing a Goth pony. As you know my drawing day is not over. I still have two more tuts coming your way so stay tuned in to see what they are. Peace out folks, and enjoy!
