How to Draw a Harpy for Kids
How's this fantasy lesson for you? It's a tutorial on "how to draw a harpy for kids", step by step. The harpy was one of my first tutorials that I ever created when Dragoart first started. I was into fantasy creatures and beings big time when I was younger. Nowadays I love all kinds of specimens and sometimes I will draw random stuff in an attempt to create my own types of monsters. I like staying creative, but sometimes I do go through a spell where I can't think of anything to draw. Not only is this tutorial going to be easy for you fantasy and mythical beasts lovers, drawing a harpy for kids will also be exciting as well as entertaining. STEP 1.
First, make a circle for the head of the harpy.
STEP 2.
You will then draw out the shape of the face simply by thickening the bottom jaw line. Draw the alien like eyes, then move along.
STEP 3.
The next thing we need to do is start the drawing process for the harpy's winged arms. These saddle like shapes should expand like you see here. The torso should also be drawn as well as the simple shapes of the chest or bust.
STEP 4.
Make a simple bowl shape for the harpy's head and or hairstyle. Add the strand lines like so, then draw a line to separate the skin from the panty line.
STEP 5.
All you will have to do now is draw out the rest of the wings or feathers for the wings, then draw the thick shaped legs and clawed feet. Erase the lines and shapes that you made in step one to clean up the drawing.
STEP 6.
Now that all is complete, you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color in your harpy using the colors you like.Post a comment
