First, make a good sized circle shape for his head, then add in the facial guidelines.

2

Thicken the shape of the head that you just made in step one, then using the facial guides, draw in the eyes which should be close together or touching, then add the small button sized nose.

3

Next, make the marking lines which frames the outside of the face and separates the two toned colors which are blue and white. Once that is done you can draw in his great big friendly smile, then draw the tongue inside of his mouth as well as those l

4

Now draw the body. Start under the neck and draw a boxy shape for the torso and legs. Add a notch between the legs, then draw the arms and cap them with small circles which will be for the paws.

5

Lastly, draw in Doraemon's collar and bell, as well as the belly markings or pattern. You will then draw in the simple formed feet, then start cleaning up the drawing.

6

Here is the earless kitty when you are all done. Now you can grab your coloring tools and give him life by adding color to his world.

Description: Have any of you ever heard of the manga 'Doraemon'? Well I haven't, but I have seen the main character scattered all over the internet which means the only thing I'm familiar with is the cat. Someone asked if I could make a tutorial on "how to draw Doraemon", step by step so here it is. From what I understand Doraemon is about a cat that is sent back in time from the future. The Japanese manga was created by 'Fujiko F. Fujio, but a while after it became a popular anime series. Believe it or not, but this series of Doraemon was first created back in 1969. I guess Doraemon is a robotic cat from the future that travels back in time to help a boy named Sewashi Nobi. Doraemon has no ears, is the color blue, and wears a red collar with a yellow bell. He is like an Asian style of an Inspector Gadget because he can pull any type of concocktion from his pocket whether it be some sort of tool, medicine, or another gadget that we have never even heard of. He was great fun to draw because to me Doraemon is adorable. As you can imagine drawing Doraemon is going to be as simple as eating pie. He is a rounded feline robot that has very little detailing. I hope you enjoy this lesson, and like I always say, stick around because there is still more to come. Peace people!
